Generally Ron if a manager 'rates' a player he picks him in the squad on match days or even - God forbid - picks him in the starting XI ahead of Skittles the Shirt Puller. What he doesn't do is lie to the player's Father and promise his son game time which never materialises.

Yes Essex, well you're speaking "generally" again about a specific (not general) situation.
You are also making a lot of assumptions based on what you have read on the Internet.
There may be other reasons why Sakho is not being picked such as attitude and commitment. It may have nothing to do with his ability. His reaction to being dropped around Christmas last year is well documented. It is not something our former great managers would have put up with.
