Apparently Brendan needs to offload players to make room for any acquisitions. His ruthlessness will be tested this summer, as far too many members of our squad are deemed to be not up to the job. Should valuations be met, it is quite probable that Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Lucas, Borini, Assaidi, Aspas, Kelly, Alberto, Mignolet and possibly more will be offloaded. It is sad for Skrtel, as despite his obvious talents, his inability to remain composed in crucial games, his manhandling of opposition players at set-pieces and his loss of concentration and regular errors mean he is deemed a liability in a potential Championship winning side. However, it is thought that should his valuation not be met, that he will be relegated to the bench, and remain as a squad member for injury cover, rather than remaining the starter he has been all season.

Rumour has it that Lallana wants to come, but that Southampton are more inclined to maximise profit in a bidding war than to allow Lallana to move to LFC. This is seen to be an example of the problems we face, as the wealthiest clubs are willing to offer silly money in fees and wages that our commitment to responsible and sustainable spending do not allow us to compete with. So despite CL qualification, greedy grabbing agents will hamper our recruitment, and mean that the Billionaires can easily pick off any declared targets. A frustrating summer is on the cards.

Hi Eds. Any chance we can have a screening process so that persons' laziness and wishful thinking does not appear here unless it appears to be a proper rumour? Would it be possible to email those unwilling to use the search function rather than responding to their nonsense on the main site? Scrolling on here has become frustrating and far less interesting than reading the speculation from journos online. A bunch of muppets are ruining the draw of this site, and I do worry for the future viability of the site.

Rumour has it that we are interested in bringing both Lallana and Shaw as they are seen to have the quality to come in and hit the ground running, and Brendan is keen to bring in more British talent to the squad. We will face stiff competition from Chavski, Citeh and Arsenal, and not-so-stiff competition from Man Utd.
