Is there any interest in Julian Draxler from Schalke? I heard we've had him watched numerous times last season {Ed002's Note - Not from Liverpool. There have been offers and enquiries for Draxler. Both Milan clubs, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Arsenal and Chelsea have enquired at one level or another about Draxler - each has met a "not for sale" barrier. I don't expect a move this summer.}

Hi Eds, with all this news of Lfc offering Sakho a new contract do you think there's is a hint of turning him into a villain in the fans eyes presuming he turns it down therefore making it much more acceptable to let him go for the fans? I just think lately especially (balotelli training exploits and sterling turning down contracts and acting up) when negative internal things turn up in the press it seems to be a ploy to turn fans against certain players. I hope stories don't come out about every player due to leave in the future as our club used to stand for so much more than it does now

Can I appeal for some calm, idle speculation can quickly becomes hard evidence, especially when Ed1 gives it the time of day.

Rodgers has enough evidential reason to dislike him with out conspiracy theories coming into the equation.

I'm hoping this story is true, that Sakho signs and we start phasing out Skrtel.

We had our chance to phase out skrtel/sell him and we gave him a new contract in July. Sakho now needs to start thiking about his career,which for me means he needs to leave.

Muscatred, where is the evidence as you say, to suggest we are even close to phasing Skrtel out of the team? It seems in Brendan's eyes, Skrtel is our defensive mainstay.

Ed, you say the contract was offered to him a while ago, so it is odd that they are just letting the story come out now. Could this be because we are selling him and the club want to make it look like they did everything to keep him?
