Hi Ed's - awesome job you do, as always!
Encouraging to see us getting some deals done early this season. I was told from a good source & friend - the same guy told me weeks ago about Milner, Ings & Bogdan. He told me that we are looking at bringing over a young Aussie lad called Jamie Maclaren from PerthGlory. He does look handy, quick, pacey & can play anywhere accross the front line. Just wanted to throw out there what I heard.

Good morning Eds, top job you boys keep doing - it is greatly appreciated .

All the transfer news is starting to get exciting - good additions in Milner, Ings & Bogdan but I hope we make a couple of 'Big' signings soon. What I want to know though, is who are we hoping to get in to replace Mike Marsh & Colin 'Shorts' Pascoe? I heard lots of rumours from Hyypia, to Pako coming back, to Zenden or Linders getting an internal promotion.

I don't know wether I am happy or disappointed with Ljinders coming up.

Not through lacking quality at all but I would of liked to have seen him work with our kids a lot longer, maybe academy director as all his philosophy's /ideas etc are centered around young players (now I know that's probably exactly why hr has been brought up, to work with the young first team players) but his work seems to start much younger.

What are you views eds?

In given time, he seems to be very interesting in working with the younger players.

I feel his time would of come bit not yet!

His work on the younger players could have proved very beneficial!

He will be a success up at melwood no worries but we might have missed a trick with what he might of done with the kids.

{Ed001's Note - he can still work with the younger kids as well, if he is willing to put the hours in. They don't exactly work long hours footballers! Just keep all the paperwork away from him, let him concentrate purely on coaching and he should be able to do both.}

Here's hoping ed 😊 but with all the football next year (Europa league etc) he not be very available for the academy. Maybe if he instructs some of the coaches and takes on sort of a leader role, then yeah it could very well work. 😊

Worth a watch for all the Anti-Benteke fans. He clearly shows he's more than just a target man. He can adapt to whatever way Rodgers wants him to play. Be in hold up play to open up space for the on coming attacking midfielders, the balls in the back of the defenders for him to chase onto, the plan B where we whip crosses in for me.

To be honest, I was apprehensive but having thought about it - it could be very handy. He's no Carroll or Ballotelli - they are both horses. This lad, is a real Beast who can bully defenders . I have faith in Brendan, SeanO'D & Pep' - they can get him to work with the team & get the best out of him. let's see if Tilly's right first though before we get excited
