My question to Ed's why we are ignoring Viktor Fischer From Ajax, he is young, fast & has scored 11 goals in 29 games. He can play in various positions LW, Attacking Midfield, CF etc. Does he fit in Lfc system or price too high.

{Ed002's Note - Viktor Fischer is subject to interest from Milan, Manchester United, Manchester City, Roma and Werder Bremen. Ajax is negotiating a new contract with him and I would not expect a move in the summer.}

Ed's Belgian newspaper "Het Nieuwsblad" today reporting "Spartak no longer in the race for Alderweireld", now they're interested in João Carlos from Anzhi Makhachkala.So we are still in hunt for Toby Alderweireld. thanx. {Ed001's Note - we dropped out a long time ago, Norwich are the club showing the most current interest. Whether we will end up reviving interest in him, that I couldn't tell you, but I would have thought we will continue to look elsewhere.}

Hearing that Newcastle United are lining up a £12 million move for Anderlecht striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, why don't we too line up for this lad.what is your opinion ed's.

Here was the latest update on Mitrovic I could find. It even includes a player profile. If something had changed regarding our interest in him, I'm sure the Eds would let us know.

{Ed002's Note - There is interest in Anderlecht's Aleksandar Mitrović from Borussia Monchengladbach, Manchester United, Swansea, Dortmund, Newcastle and Eintracht Frankfurt. The interest of Leicester and Bayern Munich seems to have gone, but Arsenal may just look again at the player - depending on which direction they wish to go given their first choice as opted to moved elsewhere. The interest from Manchester United is recent and ramping up I am told. Newcastle are likely not an option.

I think he would be a good fit for Liverpool, but there is no interest right now. Aleksandar Mitrović offers everything Liverpool are missing - he is young, strong, fit, good in the air and he scores goals. In a way he is like a traditional centre forward. Unlike Manquillo, Moreno, Sakho and Gerrard, he speaks fluent English. People who have met him have said he is likeable and is reliable and will do what he is told. He would also likely slot straight in to the first team squad. Lambert perhaps at his best and 10 years ago or so would be the closest Liverpool have. }
