We are the best team in the league. No doubt. BUT. We have gotten so lucky with the front 3 having never suffered a serious injury. Minus any one of those 3 we are a different team. We are still likely to end up without 2 of them for a spell thanks to AFCON. I love Origi but he’s not good enough as a starter and we are yet to see the best of Minamino. We didn’t strengthen last season and put our faith in the strength of the team. That has worked in our favour. But other teams are strengthening all the time and I wonder if we can get away without strengthening. To this end I worry about not going for Werner. We have no depth in the front 3 and heavily reliant on their contribution. If we don’t have the money to go for Werner then I worry about any possible pursuits of other players. I trust Klopp and I trust our owners but I wonder if we can really go another season without any reinforcements whilst teams like Chelsea and Man Utd invest.

Until Chelsea and United attain managers the calibre of Pep and Klopp I couldn't feel less threatened by them.

For gods sake the season hasn’t even ended yet and you are moaning about us signing no one for next season. No one knows what the next few months will bring, people were moaning when we didn’t sign Pepe last summer, how did that turn out?

Werner will be a great pick-up for Chelsea if that is where he goes. But they are very young and still developing. Definitely interesting to see how they develop tho.

I have never understood “I love origi but he is not good enough†what does this even mean? If he isn’t good enough what is he doing at the club?
