It us amazing how one international break can make a difference. Prior to the everton game there was doom and gloom and now there is hope and new expectations. I am not going to bad mouth BR but lfc became associated with 1 or 2 world class or great players. Under klopp I believe the worldie is him and he will be the most integral part of our possible future success. With regards to klopp I don't believe he will hype or promote himself as the saviour but instead work hard and gain the respect of both his players and the fans. Through our last few managers we lost our identity, belief and general position as one of the very best teams. We lfc have history but unfortunately our players and fans can not match our past we are but a shadow of our history. Football has changed and money plays a part but used properly. I do not think br alone is to blame as I believe we the fans are setting unrealistic expectations and quicknto lose faith in our team. My mantra is to do as I expect of my teams new manager and to give all players and the team a new slate so as of Saturday no prejudgements of any of the team and would like to wish all of them including klopp good luck win lose or draw you have my support.

I would have thought its klopp that's changed the mood rather than the international break.

Would like to start by wishing BR all the best in the future and hope has success as he gave us one of the best seasons I have ever witnessed. I do not hold all praise for him and believe that that season was the catalyst to his sacking as setting the bar high means the awful football of the last 14 months has been unacceptable. The rubbish of the committee is also annoying as the best managers have worked under different constraints.after 300m spent you would expect us to be more then a one man tram and the excuse if losing 4 great players is lost when you sign 30+. The mistakes and annoying factors has been done to death so move on and new start new hope.

I have supported LFC for over 35 years and have seen many highs and too many lows all I expect of the manager is to give us hope again. I remember magic nights under Dalglish and rafa and houllier and 1 season under BR and the under rated Evans . for the new manager no pressure of winning the title as we have spent far too much on sub standard teams but all I ask is progress and an identity.

Whether Klopp or CA or someone else they need time and our support, Anfield has become a graveyard even under Hodgson the atmosphere was better .I want to feel that atmosphere again the one I fell in love with when I first visited liverpool as a 12 year old .

Also whoever takes over we need not look to them signing their old players as the abuse Joe Allen gets is nothing short of pathetic because he is BR boy.my preference of manager is klopp because if we get CA most will expect the title next year.

You have to take the whole statement in context Klopp was pointing out he had a squad of players who could play but they can still give more. You never mentioned the fact he said coutinho will play better and lallana will give 20/30% more . As for Milner he is a managers dream very professional and has great attributes however the issue in the summer was did BR signing Milner address the obvious issues we had in our team and you can say no however when he goes on the pitch he gives 100%.

It is unfortunately the new way fans react quickly put down our players and Managers but the last 18 months we have been in free fall no identity, no direction and very few leaders on and off the pitch. BR was a brave choice by fsg he said all the right things but he failed to learn and grow, it's easy to take plaudits when all is good but the test is when all is not well how do you react look at jose mourinho. I supported BR through most of it but come on he lost the plot towards the end .

Personally I will give a clean slate to all the players including Allen who gets such unfair treatment here and let's see what they can do. However don't worry as soon as klopp gets its wrong we will see more posts like yours however I am willing to bet he won't be blaming his friends and players .

Two of our brightest sparks in a bad few months. I believe that they are two honest and hard working players who seem proud to be in lfc shirt will come back stronger. One thing I believe is that klopp will make regular visits and keep their spirits and hopes up. Klopp reminds me if paisley Dalglish(1st time around) and shankley in which there will be an attachment to their players.

{Ed002's Note - It gets painful to read when you start posting things like this about the coach.}

Hazard may be considered the best player but only because in today's footballing world we consider offensive players the best however the most important player is matic by a country mile. Matic is the link between the defence midfield and believe me if he gets injured Chelsea will not replace him easily and will leak goals .
Practically every team has a Dm even Barcelona free flowing football had busquets as the pivotal player.if we added hazard to our team we would look better but add matic and we would look solid.

Ed02 totally agree with you there has been a total change in our supporters atitude.i do not subscribe to blindly following my team and the players are their to be shot at but not before they kicked a ball and not at some of the levels.

The wealth of media has made us all to over analytical on our teams and our players .I do also think lack of success for 20+ years for the title has made us slightly bitter and over critical. However I do believe that players are also not helping themselves with increase of exposure words do get twisted and used against them.

Liverpool has spent stupid sums to close the gap so excuse of man City and Chelsea billionaire sugar daddies has somewhat faded. I have my reservation on some players and get angry with others but new season new start will get behind them and judge them as the season unfolds. Good luck to benteke and some of the new signings as I remember the abuse Henderson/ lucus got and now one is the captain and the other is an integral part of the team.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has a billionaire sugar daddy remember - but if the club are spending just for the sake of it (surely not) perhaps they should think about the players they are buying. How many games did £22M buy the club with Aspas, Ilori and Alberto? How successful were the expensive loans of Victor Moses, Nuri Sahin and Aly Cissokh? Markovic was a major mistake. Balotelli was a major mistake. Borini has been around for 3 years and hardly played. Assaidi and Yesil?

If they are simply spending money to catch up - maybe some kid who plays fantasy football games on his computer would be better.}
