I'm not against it, but the concern is him and Klopp are just going to be nodding in agreement at everything and nobody is bringing fresh ideas to the table. Hope that doesn't lead to us signing Julian Brandt's instead of Mo Salah's.

Thom43, RR is far from a yes man. Hence why he didn't get on at United . He put noses out of joint by telling the club exactly what was wrong and how it needed to be fixed . I think he is exactly what Liverpool need right now.

Ragnick being a bad manager doesn't make him a bad sporting director, it's a completely different job, and one that he has been excellent at previously. United have a clueless board and it was a ridiculous appointment, that's not his fault.

@Thom, You say they are totally different jobs: director of football and manager.

But RR is the MANAGER of the Austrian national team. and before that he was the MANAGER of Man United.

He seems to fancy himself as a manager rather than a DOF these days.

I wouldn’t want him as either.

I think there must be better DOF candidates out there for us who are focussed on that role rather than jumping between DOF and manager roles (where he hasn’t been successful either)
