Hi eds,

Do you have any idea of how many midfielders the club may be targeting, and what types of midfielders these may be?

Ed, sounds like Liverpool will look to get a CB, DM, CM, attacking player/ Firmino replacement. Does that sound about right?

If we get four good ones, that could make a big difference to the squad.

Although I also agree with Ed001 that we need to better align our tactics better to our new players. They are not like for like with the players they, ve replaced but very talented all the same. I'm sure klopp and co are working hard on this although it isn't showing on pitch yet.

Hopefully, next season we get a big bounce back.

What other positions are we looking at? I assume a backup GK (with Kelleher potentially searching for 1st team football) and a CB?

{Ed002's Note - Yes, and I expect a couple of Free Agents might work there. I have mentiond Ndicka and there might be a cheap goalkeeping in someone like Ron-Robert Zieler, or a Free Agent such as Timo Horn.}

According to an article in tonights Liverpool Echo 20 year old left footed midfielder Croatian Luka Sucic RB Salburg is being seriously considered this summer, £17 million is the transfer figure they quote with add ons.

{Ed002's Note - Luka Sucic (CM/AM) There has been growing interest in the youngster with RBS fending off interest from Arsenal and Juventus by making it clear he is not for sale. This has not stopped the interest of Lazio who see the youngster as a Sergej Milinkovic-Savic replacement. Newcastle have spoken with RBS about the player and will make a bid. Milan have a declared interest but a move seems unlikely. RBS have said a number of other sides have sent scouts to watch him and this will include Liverpool, considering him as an alternative to Bellingham. The player has said he would like to play in Germany.}
