We did "WIN" the European Cup last Saturday in fact we couldn't lose as the teams involved were Liverpool versus Real "MAD-RED" which is what we all are "MAD RED", so we played ourselves! how can ye lose when ye play yourselves.
Just a bit of joviality Boys and Girls, laughing is better than crying.
There were reports from the after match Real Madrid party that Valverde's cross for the winner was in fact a miss hit shot at goal, and that allegedly Binzema said discreetly at the after match celebrations, he got the slightest deflection on his boot which would of rendered it offside, looks like VAR has done us proud again.
Looking back would it have been better for us that the goal disallowed for VAR offside just on half time was awarded, as this would of changed Jurgens half time talk and given us the whole second half to equalise than the 30 minutes which we had to make the scores equal or even win. It's History now so we move on.

Hello jimblelfc2005, You have said yourself in your post above that Arne does not have the final word on transfers, that means he is coaching players that someone else (hughes) prefers that is a YES man.
If he coaches his own signings then he is his "own man" i. e. free, independent and not being controlled by others like Klopp was not as you stated above.
In accepting the LFC manager's job he said "YES" to all the terms and conditions in the FSG contract that was on the table in front of him, perhaps that is why Jurgen left because he rejected the contract that Arne accepted, we have to wait for his reasons on going, or he may take it to grave with him? as at the moment it's all conjecture.

How can anyone compare a current World Cup Medal Winner, to a regular squad player.

One has to give reluctant credit to Amorim, he has gone away to LFC and now Arsenal, and drew one, and won one with ten men standing at the finish, at the homes of the twin favourites for the Premier (he has also beaten City away at the Etihad in the premier) with Ten Hags players but his own playing system, just as Arne has accomplished top of the league and europe with Jurgens squad, with also his own preferred system.
Amorim is unbeaten away at LFC, Arsenal and City, under estimate him at your peril I would conclude, and i am quite certain Arne will not in the future.
Arne will also not under estimate Forest away next, who have won their last six games in the premier league on the bounce, and like Arne rested all their top players for next weeks clash, they also beat Luton in the FA Cup with their fringe players, most looking forward to that clash next week, as for one its an opportunity for revenge which like the weather is a dish best served cold.

hi ed014, hope ye beat man ure tomorrow, how will you combat the 3-4-3 that Amorim prefers and will stick with forever, it stymied and surprised us last week, seems to me only way is arsenal (or any team) play the same 3-4-3 then it's one to one all over the pitch, playing the same formation as Amorim, will stop Amorim who seems to like "overloading" the oppositions defensive weak position usually the right or left back. Game of the round though, Amorim has not won in the last five games.
{Ed014's Note - I certainly hope we beat them to mate and I’d doubt Arteta will change to a 3-4-3.
We just need to get back in form and crush them from the off.

Sadly I think Federico will go because he slapped Harvey hard across the face in training late November, reason being club discipline and Harvey also goes, it would be deemed as favouritism if one stays and one goes. £35-£40 million would be very good business and buy a much needed left back.
His future must be bleak when he is finally fit after circa four months, and an exceptional 16 year old was preferred over him to start against Accrington Stanley, maybe he forms part of a deal for Kvaratshkelia, Federico plus cash.
About time we bit the bullet with Nunez, love his attitude and commitment but his numbers for goals are very disappointing for a circa £80 million player, Danns if he gets a decent run will decimate his records, the difference is Danns is a natural born goalscorer/ poacher, ye can't coach being in the right place at the right time, you either come out of the "Womb" with that instinct to score naturally or not, as great football players are made by mums and dads, not coaching manuals and training sessions.
