Morning Redmen,

Manu Kone being mentioned around today by Fabrizio Romano, anything concrete in this Ed’s?

Have to say, I have never heard of him let alone see him play. Any posters have anything they can share on type of midfielder?

{Ed002's Note - Manu Kouadio Kone (CM/DM) Prior interest of Milan has gone. Newcastle did approach Borussia Muenchegladbach but they will resist a sale and try and agree a new deal, but Newcastle remain keen. RBL are keen to add Kone to replace Laimer. Bayern Munich are light on DM and CM and are looking to add Kone and Laimer in the summer. Borussia Dortmund see him as a Bellingham replacement if he leaves in the summer. Not first choice for Chelsea but Vivell may push for him - which could spell the end for Ngolo Kante as well as Kovacic and Loftus Cheek. Liverpool have spoken with his agents but not yet BM. Watched by a number of other Premier League sides including West Ham, Manchester United and Brighton. A wildcard maybe PSG. Player wants Chelsea move but not being in the CL could influence him further. Asking price will by €60M including add ons.}

I still think of Joey Jones every time Borussia Mönchengladbach get a mention. One of my heroes was Joey.

Did we sell joey Jones onto Nottingham forest? Did he go on to win European Cup with them?

Sold Jones to Wrexham, Digger. He won the European Cup with us.

Larry Lloyd was who I was thinking of is right. He Before my time but remember being told we sold him too early, went on to do v well with a successful forest team.
