Just a few questions that you may have an opinion on. I think we still may end up with one of Thuram, Gravenberch or Veiga and I know they are 3 different types of players but I think that is irrelevant due to how Liverpool approach signings.
1)Do you think a Barella signing is doable for Liverpool considering it would be a high transfer but maybe not an unaffordable salary and he is the finished article?!
2)When the media say Klopp wants to get all his transfer business done early, (which is common sense rather than fact) what possible discussions could be taking place considering we are coming into July and we seem to only speak to agents rather than the clubs of these players we apparently have been monitoring for sometime?
3) I know you are not a Liverpool fan but out of interest if Liverpool could sign 4 players that maybe available and obtainable to Liverpool which you would consider a successful window. Who would they be? Mine would be MacAllister, Barella, Kone and Pau Torres.

{Ed002's Note - (1) Nicolo Barella (CM) Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have had approaches turned away. Don't be surprised of a significant offer from Newcastle or PSG or a further approach from Real Madrid - but Inter don't wish to sell and would no doubt demand something towards €100M or so. Liverpool or Spurs may show an interest but Inter have not been approached by either although they have sent scouts. The player does not wish to leave and is expected to sign a new contract. Long term interest of Chelsea went with the player wanting to stay in Italy - although they could yet try to persuade him otherwise and have spoken with Ale Beltrami who acts as an intermediary. Wildcard may be an approach form Manchester United who have instructed a third party to enquire on their behalf.
(2) I cannot answer that - the club would need to go well beyond talking to agents to get transfers agreed. Clubs may hold out, players may not be interested, agents will be looking for options.
(3) Obviously Mac Allister has signed, Nico Schlotterbeck for CB or the very versatile Lutsharel Geertruida who can play CB. DM and RB over Micky Van De Ven, Kephram Thuram for midfield and perhaps Daichi Kamada to replace Firmino - but he is heading elsewhere.}

I'm staying somewhat realistic here here but I ll go Mcallaister, Thuram, Lavia and Ignacio.

I ve gone off Kone. He has everything bar pace but in my view pace is important ingredient. He has looked slow to me in the under 21s.

Schlotterbeck is a belter of a shout. I know Liverpool probably are not pushing for him Ed but do you think he could be gettable from Dortmund this summer?

1st time I’ve seen Schlotterbeck given a mention on here, would be a great signing

Whatever happened to the other young CB at dortmund. Was tipped for big things a couple years ago, French lad, Zagadou I think it was?

Spelling mistake my comment was a stonking window and NOT stinking.
Ok Tchoumanieni might be difficult but so would Schlotterback, Ed’s 002 was only stating who he thought would be good signings and not who we are pursuing.
I would say Mac Allister, Tchoumanieni and Inacio would be some window even if the French lad was on a 12-month loan deal with Veiga as the attacking midfielder.
