Morning Eds
Sly sports reporting that Juve have made a bid of £22 million for Can but we are looking for £27 million surly that's b######t, in the current environment with the likes of Kyle Walker (just an example) costing u £50 million, who the hell would you be able to buy as a replacement for Can with a paltry £27 million . Has to be a load of crap I know Can has yet to sign a new contract but with Lucas and Stewart gone we are tight enough in the centre without letting anyone else go . Rant over .

Considering that Walker had a long term contract, City had to pay a premium, Can has one year left on his contract, there is no way that any team would offer £50m plus in those circumstances, unless it was Messi/ Neymar etc. So take it in that context.

Losing Coutinho and Can in the same window would be a disaster. And the worst part is the club had only one midfielder they were desperate to sign and his club have put 'not for sale' stamp on him. Please tell me Klopp has 2 midfielders lined up if Can and Coutinho both leave or next season could see LFC dropping out of the top6.

We have grujic who will be there instead of stewart and liverpool are actively pursuing a replacement for can who is likely to be leaving this summer due to playing time ahead of the world cup. Coutinho is likely to be sold however this may not necesarily mean a like for like replacement will be brought in. Jurgen 'Klipperty' Klopp needs to stay well away from transfers and fsg need to hire a proper director to shape the club to do things the right way. This is the only real issue we have with fsg is the hiring of the wrong people and letting Klopp get away with what he does. It would be foolish for us to go for vvd now but ultimately we should be punished for unsettling the player. We have 4 centre backs already another one is not needed. Something we could do with is a disciplined defensive coach who could work with what we have. Another thing I personally think the sleeve sponsor is a good thing Fsg have not made any profit at LFC since they took over so 25 mil over 5 years for a badge is great business. Football shirt are horrible anyway I don't wear them and as long as its got the bird on the front its fine. All im saying is people getting hung up on transfers need to take a step back and just support the players we have got.

Also remember it's the prices English clubs are paying other teams that have been inflated, not European clubs buying from EPL. That could partly explain the discrepancy.

I was just using walker as an example of over inflated prices for players and that if liverpool were to sell Can to Juve for £27 million what would that £27 million buy u in the current environment if we're to look for a replacement, maybe the way I worded it didn't quite get the point I was trying to make across .

I think the eds have repeatedly said that selling to raise money to buy isn't an issue and the 2 shouldn't be linked. Bearing in mind the players the club has already looked at without selling and the urge to get Can to sign a new contract, it would seem there is no need to limit a replacement based on what his sale raises.

Can will become a £100 mill player at Juventus just like Suso has become a brilliant player at Milan. If Allegri thinks he could start ahead of Marchisio, Pjanic, Khadiera and Sturato, Then we can agree Can is an excellent player!
