Sorry Ed, think you meant Brian Laws, ex-Scunny manager.

{Ed001's Note - he has managed Scunny 3 times and Burnley, Shamrock Rovers, Grimsby Town and someone else I think.}

Sheff Weds too!

{Ed001's Note - that's it. He is mostly remembered for an incident involving cup throwing if I remember rightly.}

{Ed001's Note - that was it, thanks.}

Wow, Zambrotta considered more valuable than Kaka and Eto'o (and yes, I know these values are more guesses than an exact science, but still)? Was he really that good?

{Ed001's Note - was Kaka really that good? I never saw the hype in him. He seemed over rated to me. Zambrotta was an exceptional player, but I am not sure how they figure out the values to understand how he could be ahead of those two as a defender. Maybe both of them were running out of contract while he is on a lengthy one?}

Kaka was exceptional for 4 seasons in the CL, his performances against a few English clubs in that time were stunning.
I never thought Italian football suited him that well, he tended to look quite subdued in league games, as did that Milan team in general. They won a solitary Serie A title yet are heralded as an all-time great team, and the Juventus/ Inter teams that beat them have been largely forgotten.
Kaka’s pace and power was formidable in Europe, however, and he was easily their most important player from 2004-2008.

{Ed001's Note - stunning? I honestly can't say I ever saw a performance that was stunning from him. I do agree he was better in Europe, but for me he was massively overrated and it showed when he moved to Madrid and was expected to be special. He simply wasn't that special.}

IMO, Kaka gave Milan his best years and I was a true fan of his. By the time he went to RM, his legs were gone and that devastating injury he had afterwards well, ended his career as we knew it at the time. Still like him as a player. Overrated? Not sure he was at the time. Jut my opinion.

I really only watched Kaka in the UCL, so maybe I only saw the best flashes of him. At the very least, I'll always remember how he gave United the runaround and especially that wonder goal he scored against them at Old Trafford! And to be fair to his time at Real Madrid, he never really settled in in the first place with his injury problems and how he played through them for Brazil at the World Cup.

Zspecialone - exactly. United are the team I was referring to. His second goal was hilarious as Evra almost took Heinze’s head off. His first one was just as good, tearing past Heinze again followed by an unerring finish.
