Hey Ed's 1 and 2
What would your thoughts be on Lewis cook coming in as a wijnaldum replacement, do you know if there is any interest from us? I read earlier we was monitoring him this time last year but apparently was seeing how he recovered from the injury he sustained!

{Ed001's Note - not for me, he has not made the improvements I expected, no doubt in large part due to the injury, but the main reason is that he is just not that type of player. He is a very poor man's Thiago.}

Personally I can’t see us replacing wijnaldum! Think we will go with fab, hendo, Thiago, ox and Jones! And may be another midfielder brought in if keita was to leave.

I think we are interested in Yves Bisuma from Brighton who is twice the player Lewis Cook is, IMO.

Yes we need a keita replacement as enough is enough with him and the injuries he has the quality but can't be trusted too play consistently.

We have replaced Gini already. His name is Curtis.

That’s like saying we can sell Salah or mane as we have replaced them with Jota. Why can’t Wiji and Curtis play together. Like they have done most of this season. Wy does he have to be his replacement. After all we are struggling for bodies this season with both of them. Why reduce the squad by 1 quality player next season. Doesn’t make sense to me.

Fully agree, JK23. I have never understood this pathetic argument of if one good player comes in, it means that one has to go. Why can’t we have multiple quality players in one position? It is such a small and myopic way to see football.

Jota was not brought in to replace any of the front three. He was brought in as depth to play with them do if Salah leaves, he will be replaced with a player near his Calibra and the beat goes on. Myopic thinking, really.
