Hey Ed001, if you are free.
Fowler's time came before I was born, but I have heard a lot about how good he was even when he was just out of the academy.
Can you shed more light on what a player he was, and is there any present day youngster at Liverpool any PL club, who is at his level when he broke through? Just so that I can get a better indication.

Thanks and keep up the good work.

{Ed001's Note - Fowler was incredible, a shining light the like of which only Owen has been since, but Fowler was a better all-round player imo. He could dribble past players, score goals from just about anywhere on the pitch, was so quick off the mark and had a great range of passing and link up play. If he had outright pace and avoided injuries, he would have almost certainly gone on to be the best goalscorer the club ever had. He was truly special. The partnership between him and Owen was always good as well, just a shame Owen hated sharing the limelight.}

I never thought we’d replace rush and up popped Fowler, truly naturally gifted. Owen and houllier have a lot to answer for with how Fowler left the club. How anyone could choose to play Emile Heaney over god baffles me. Unfortunately he was never the same after leaving Liverpool.

One of the most natural finisher's i have ever seen.
Who could forget his 5 goals vs fulham and his 3min hat-trick vs Arsenal? his double at old trafford? his numbers were seriously impressive as well until he became injured and also had a falling out with Thompson and Houllier.
If i had anything to do with it Robbie Fowler would have been a one club man.
Do yourself a favour theKOPARMY and watch you tube highlights of the man's goals, you will find every type of finish with his head and feet- left foot deadly, that you can think off.
He truly was a special talent who got to play alongside The great Ian Rush as well.
If he was around today he would be straight in this liverpool side with Salah @ Mane up top with bobby in the hole causing defenders nightmares.

{Ed0666's Note - imagine what Fowler would have achieved with a more proffesional attitude diet/training and without those injuries.

Great player IMO. I watched him play as a 16 year old in the youth cup a few times. Then I followed him with England youth and made my dad take me to Forest to watch him in the final. A truly special player who I feel was slightly let down by the club, more than once.

At 17 Fowler was Liverpool’s best player. First touch and finishing were awesome.

{Ed0666's Note - His best period of play at Liverpool was when he had the Blonde hair. He was unplayable during that time.

Ed666, I think it was that whole spice boy era? Think they all liked a party. Remember those horrible white suits?

{Ed0666's Note - was it that era? Maybe it was. I thought those white suits were pretty cool but then again I’m a pseudo fashionista. 😂
I know for a fact they used to party with Robbie Williams so maybe that’s the reason for the suits lol. When Giorgio Armani personally designs suits for you let’s face it you’re not saying no are you?

Easily the best English striker I've ever seen, vision both feet and head unplayable in his prime years.
I'm 56, shearer was brilliant but not in the same league.

David James is the reason for those suits Ed. He was a part time model at the time and chose the outfit!

{Ed0666's Note - Yes mate he had a side gig as an Armani model at the time and they were Armani suits.
