Praying for the safety and recovery of Christian Erikson. Looks like he had a cardiac arrest so could well be Brughda syndrome or similar. Fabrice Muhamba had a similar issue and is alive and well many years after. Prayers and positive thoughts for you Sir, recover well and get well soon.

Thank goodness Erikson looks to be awake and stabalised. The medics deserve an award.

The match director is a disgrace. Those were horrific scenes and you cut away to not cause distress and show respect to the player, not zoom in on his face or show CPR being administered.

Agree. Absolutely disgusting from the broadcasters (BBC specifically in this case) . will quickly pan away for a horror tackle or a streaker but drag their feet with a player fighting for his life and even had the audacity to pan to a loved one, I think it was his wife. Disgraceful.

Agreed. Nobody needed to see that as well as his wife being distraught on the sidelines. It was right before half time so the studio would have been ready so in my opinion they should have cut to them. Well done to the officials and medics as well as the Denmark players for trying to keep his privacy.

I wouldn't be 100% sure BBC were in control of the camera. If you think of it logically, there would be numerous camera crew from several countries in the one stadium. I'm not sure it works that way.
Regardless it was awful to watch it air to millions around the world. You can only hope that Erikson recovers well and his partner is now by his side.

Irish Rover that's why I said match director rather than BBC as I know it wouldn't be them controlling the cameras in the stadium.

I have seen people blaming BBC as well for not cutting back to the studio but they probabaly couldn't believe the director kept going back to the incident so often and for so long either.

But the BBC or any TV station could of cut the feed and returned to the pundits in the studio. Disgraceful from all of them.

That's a fair Port but like me they probably didn't think the director would keep focusing in like that.

I can't recall any time a match director has ever done that for something like a bad injury never mind something like this. If it was a streaker they would cut away immediately .
