Sorry but not been on for a while. Noticed a lot of adverse reaction to my posts on CJ. Lots on this site seem to think he is the answer to our midfield issues butI just don't see he is going to be good enough for a title winning team. Hope I am wrong because it will save us a ton of money in the transfer market over the next few years, maybe he is the next Stevie G or maybe the next Ben Woodburn. guess we all need to wait and see.

{Ed077's Note - or he could be your version of Darren Fletcher?}

Thats a good shout Ed077. CJ can be a very handy utility player for the club in the long run. Like it or not, players like Darren Fletcher would worth their weight in gold in modern day football.

{Ed077's Note - not world class but a very vital member of the team, was Darren Fletcher

or he could be the 1000s of players that are somewhere in between stevie and ben woodburn. Are you looking for signs of stevie in order to validate that he has place in the squad?

Not at all Faith, but to become a regular in a (hopefully) title chasing team he has to be closer in ability to Stevie than Ben.
Ed77 do you see that CJ has that level of versatility?

{Ed077's Note - I wasn't trying to compare CJ directly to Fletcher, more so that without being World Class he was still one of the most consistent performer who made a difference to the team. CJ seems to have the heart and desire for LFC and a bit of quality too so he can become a vital member of the squad with the right attitude and application

ok, he clearly closer to stevie than he is to ben. that doesn't mean that is almost stevie now or will ever be, but it does mean he is miles further along than ben woodburn.

Also he is one of ours. from the acadcemy, from the streets of Liverpool. I'd be giving him far more room to grow than any other player being brought in.
