Just been looking at Milners wiki page and it got me thinking.

Milner is actually going to have ended up playing more games for Liverpool than any other team in his career.

His team 'progression' (excl years in the youth teams) was 2 years at Leeds, 4 at Newcastle, 2 at Villa, 5 at City and 7 with us (through to 2022).

When we signed Milner, it reminded me of the Gary Mac signing (albeit Milner was a lot younger than Mac when he joined) .

Do you think players like Milner and Gary Mac NEEDED to play for several clubs to reach their potential, or would they have become as good players if they had spent their entire careers at one club (the RIGHT club, like Gerrard/ Carra with us or Giggs/ Scholes at Utd)?

{Ed0666's Note - you look up Milner’s wiki page in your spare time??!

Playing for us under Klopp and winning what he has done in front of our fans is probably the icing on the cake for him.
But he's been no passenger, he's earned every medal and accolade he's got.
