Klopp as a manager, is the best thing to ever happen to this club in the PL era even tho, Rafa did his thing and credit to him under the circumstances. Klopp could have gone anywhere cos people forget that he was the hottest manager on the market in the summer of 2015. But he chose us, cut his sabbatical short and rocked up to Anfield. It took some time and some growing pains BUT the owners stuck with him, funded him and the success came. FSG get full marks for that, IMO.

As for FSG, I have no qualms with them overall at all. They get full marks for sticking with Klopp when things weren't working, IMO. They have an asset and they are investing in it and increasing it's value while at the same time, investing in the manager and on the coaching staff, backing him when required with funds to improve the output and product on the pitch with a box of big trophies as the receipts.

As long as they keep doing that and we continue to be competitive and win things and they continue to improve the overall infrastructure, which is literally their job as investors and we NEVER stare down the barrel of administration EVER again, Im straight.

I agree with you about Klopp, Olired. Put it this way, no other manager alive could have done what he has done for our club, whether it be success, spirit, growth - anything.
As for FSG, I’m split on them. Liverpool are in a MUCH better situation all round than when FSG took over. We are just a much bigger, stronger club than we were in 2010. Most level-headed Liverpool fans understand, though don’t necessarily accept the unfair and corrupt mechanisms of football. We know that FSG cannot hope to compete with proxy states, so we can forgive them for not playing a game they can’t win.
That said, they should also know that Klopp is miles better than his managerial rivals - miles better. Where they have failed too often is in giving Klopp the full backing to at least have a more fair fight with Pep and City. Klopp’s loyalty tests that theory a bit, but FSG could have helped him more.

As far as owners go FSG have done well with plenty of mistakes along the way but they are up there with the better ones.

I’m sure fans would love them to loosen the purse strings over asking for overs to invest their money despite increasing their initial investment x 10.

My biggest gripe from them of late is they allowed the club to sell tickets for the new upper stand whilst surely knowing it wouldn’t be opening. It’s not like it’s a few days delay that was unseen but looking at least a 6 month delay. Tickets for the new stand were even for sale after the company went bankrupt and they only announced it a few days before the Everton game where I actually had tickets and a hotel already paid for which I imagine affected others also.

I’m sure many more than me have lost a lot more money on it mind.

Klopp is the glue that seems to keep this club going and players seem to love playing for him

The longer Klopp stays the longer we will continue to be extremely competitive on the pitch because I’m not sure what other manager in world football keeps us competitive with state owned rivals with FSG’s model.

Olired, "I'm straight". I'm happy for you, but what has that got to do with Klopp and FSG? ?.

Aray1969 I think it was Olired's way of doing a full stop. Only his tone resembles that Don Jolly sketch with the mobile phone.

ArAy1969 and PearlJam (lovely music group, btw), it has nothing to do with FSG nor Klopp, you are correct. It has everything to do with me being fine with FSG, overall since "Im straight" in American street slang means, "I'm fine".

Peace and Love.

@LoweLFC, I get where you are coming from. They have made some mistakes along the way and that is also fair to say BUT I don't expect perfection from myself so I'm not going to put a bar on people that I myself, will never reach. Again, that's only fair, right?

Now regarding FSG could have/ should have helped Klopp more or them failing to give him the full backing to go against Pep and all that. I personally don't believe that all the way. You mentioned it yourself that Klopp's loyalty tests that theory as well. For ex. Klopp had the funds to sign an LB in 16/ 17 cos Moreno was a car crash and he looked around and rather than bring one in, he entrusted that task to Jimmy Milner. Had we not made top 4 that season, FSG woulda gotten the blame, not Klopp. you think that's fair?

Another thing is that Klopp will be given money to spend on players he knows the club needs and if he does not see nor fancy what he wants, he will stay put. That is a Klopp problem, not FSG. We saw that last season already and heaven knows how many times he has done this that we don't even know about. We were going to pay 115m for Caicedo so I don't believe that FSG don't loosen the purse strings. If they do and Klopp sits on the cash then, what are they supposed to do? Threaten him with the sack? Just saying.
