Agree with all of that Ed. It was a very comfortable outing where we didn’t really need to get out of first gear.

Szoboslai is an incredible talent. For me he’s the best midfield player we’ve had since Gerrard. If he can get anywhere near Stevie’s level with the players we have around him he could do some very special things.

{Ed001's Note - I don't want to put extra pressure on him or anything, but it feels like he is already close to Gerrard's level. It is too early to compare him, because Gerrard put in performances to that level for season after season, similar to Salah. But he has started out at a level that is very near to Gerrard's. Let's hope he gets even better!}

What’s a successful season for you this season, Ed?
I said from the outset that we should be aiming for 1st-3rd in the league and all three of the cup competitions we are involved in.
I will not make us favourites to win the league until we come away from City/ Arsenal with a result. However, we should 100% be winning the Europa League and Carabao Cup, and also should be targeting the FA Cup as a third trophy.

A very good review, and it is great to see VVD looking something like his former self. He has undoubtedly been help by having a midfield in front of him who are not two yards off the pace (as per last season) who don’t allow the opposition to stroll through them at will .

I see you are starting to feel really giddy about what this team can do this season eh, Ed? You're not alone cos I am too, mate. I thought we were great overall almost to a man even tho, Gravenberch looked leggy and Tsimikas tho played better, played it a bit too safe. That could have been by instruction so we don't lose possession for no reason asp. being ahead.

Szoboslai? The kid is only 23 and he is already this good and signing of the season for me. Maddison an do one. Szobo's impact on LFC is well clear of the impact Maddisson has had at Spurs, IMO. The kid is special and we are just scratching the surface of what he can do. The fact you and others are comparing him to a young Stevie Gerrard is already testament to his potential. We keep stacking those wins and Kepp it moving. Prayers for Diaz and his family.
