From my friend in Boston.
Slot is 100% staying, in fact he has mentioned Slot may sign a 2 year contract extension in the summer to avoid going into next season with players knowing he only has 1 year left on his contract.

27 May 2026 05:45:50
Cheers. Is this the same contact who told you a few weeks ago that they were looking for an elite manager in his 50s?
27 May 2026 06:29:57
That is correct. Conte's people let it be known he is looking at the Italian job, not fun management, hence the offer of new contract to Slot.
27 May 2026 06:36:26
Sorry, that is club management, not fun management.
27 May 2026 06:53:57
I know this is a rumours site and all that, but don't purposely try and wind up the fans just to get a bit of attention. I'm sure if people on here really wanted to, they could read spam twitter accounts for themselves. No need to just deliberately try to annoy people for attention.
27 May 2026 07:01:17
After last season I cannot see the club offering him a contract extension. He probably is staying now, but I think they'll wait till December to see whether he is staying or will leave.
I still don't understand if he is unsettled/unhappy in England, as was reported and the eds have said, why he is staying anyway?
Doesn't make sense.
27 May 2026 07:32:56
So Liverpool set their hearts on Conte (you're the only person I have ever seen mention his name), but now instead we will offer Slot an extension because he is adored by the players and fans? ..... Give over!
27 May 2026 07:57:09
I can't claim to be in the know, and can't claim to be 100%, but my cousin's partner is close to a member of the Ladies team, and the feeling is that Slot is definitely staying for now at least. Supposedly there have been remarks on how any manager would have struggled this season after Jota's death, and how the higher ups believe next season could potentially be a 2 horse race to the title between ourselves and Arsenal, with Slot being the superior coach.
Personally, I hope the feelings around the club are completely false and Slot goes, but I think he is staying.
27 May 2026 08:03:37
I think we can safely file this one under "100% not ITK".
Conte, fupping hell hahah.
27 May 2026 07:48:39
Your friend in Boston? Rubbish. People who live down the road from Anfield have zero clue. The fact they're from Boston has zero bearing on this.
27 May 2026 08:14:44
There is no way that Hughes and Edwards would have been looking for Conte to take over the job, I find that very very hard to believe.
27 May 2026 08:17:03
2 year extension! ?
27 May 2026 09:13:39
Even if he signs a 10-year contract, he'll still be sacked by Christmas.
27 May 2026 09:27:05
Inbeta, don't blame the OP for you getting wound up.
That's on you, mate.
27 May 2026 11:43:49
I didn't say I was wound up. I advised him not to wind the readers up. I personally don't care.
27 May 2026 11:43:55
@InBeta, That made me laugh out loud. I assume you are unaware of irony? ???
27 May 2026 11:55:11
Uhoh - seeing him get a 2yr extension terrifies me. We've become so slow and boring, with terrible fitness.
What are FSG seeing that everyone else isn't?!
27 May 2026 14:09:06
My friend in Vanuatu says - What's football?
27 May 2026 14:17:11
@inbeta1989, Bcos it is not news that you welcome doesn't mean it's not true ? and contrary to Hopeful Longing there's no evidence suggesting he's leaving.
26 May 2026 21:17:29
Good evening lady's and gentlemen.
Everything will be done by Friday. The later from my understanding is slot trying to get a pay out most likely going to move to a Serie A after by the looks of it.
Thank.

26 May 2026 21:40:27
Well I for one believe that completely, sighs.
Thanks, Inspector Clouseau.
26 May 2026 21:41:27
Don't know if your info is reliable, but I'm choosing to believe!
26 May 2026 21:51:46
Slot to Milan.
Iraola to LFC. ?
26 May 2026 22:24:59
Trying to get a pay out? Wouldn't he get one anyway if he's dismissed whilst still contracted?
26 May 2026 22:36:41
Friday my time? So, Saturday?
26 May 2026 22:46:12
Well, it's a quicker flight to Ibiza but a longer one to Amsterdam. Let's call it swings and roundabouts. Now sod off.
26 May 2026 22:49:26
If he was going, he'd have gone after that frankly appalling performance against Brentford (which followed equally insipid performances against Villa, Chelsea and United).
The imbeciles running things at the club have made the same mistake in not sacking Slot, they did with Rodgers.
Slot has no idea how to fix things. The players he wants in midfield and right back won't change a thing. We'll still be as piss poor next season as this.
26 May 2026 22:49:34
Get a payout? he should be playing the club to get out. He's worked 1/2 a week for how long, while he buggers off back home each week.
Not only that, he's destroyed the club in the last 18 months and set us back years.
The cheeky b@stard!
26 May 2026 23:46:46
'Destroyed the club in the last 18 months'
Lol. There's some drama queens on here.
26 May 2026 23:52:27
Another so called ITK taking you all for a ride.
27 May 2026 00:05:48
He's staying. Everyone just has to accept it.
27 May 2026 01:31:31
@Darwin, For the millionth time - stop exaggerating. The club is not "destroyed" at all. We've had a shocker this season and we still qualified for the CL. We've been lucky that the general standard in the PL has dropped dramatically in the past couple of years, but that's not our fault. We live to fight another day.
27 May 2026 01:37:05
@Vik, is Brenda still on the books then? If not, who got rid of him?
27 May 2026 03:13:44
If it's the payoff he wants, hope the club insists on a no-complete clause. Rumour makes sense. Hanging onto every one of them.
27 May 2026 05:25:45
Which Friday in October?
27 May 2026 05:35:03
Yeah, but which Friday?
You need to be very specific, mate...
We are about to go into meltdown if it doesn't happen this next Friday...
27 May 2026 03:43:36
Can any 1 of the Edd's, Carra, Robbo, or Victor confirm or dismiss what Franco has said in this thread.
Its about the possibility of Slot going and being sorted by Friday.
Keep up the great work.
27 May 2026 06:29:46
Could it be he wants out and will not resign because of money, we won't sack him because he's asked for a pay out and the club are realising now he has to go and are trying to line up a new manager before sacking him. Or he's been told there's a meeting to decide his future and an announcement by the end of the week.
Could explain his broken body language during the Robbo and Salah send off, which, let's face it, he wanted em both gone, so I don't think it was that but more like your jobs on the line, this son might be your last game too.
27 May 2026 08:04:04
As I mentioned earlier, sacking Slot now will go against this season's PSR. It resets next week, so if by 7th June he's still here then that's our answer.
27 May 2026 08:08:22
WDW, Rodgers should have been sacked straight after the Stoke debacle, but the clowns gave him another summer to waste money and consequently we threw away 15/16.
We are going to do exactly the same with Slot by not sacking him (he should have been sacked straight after Villa, let alone the Brentford game). The football won't change, the results won't improve and we'll end sacking Slot, just like Rodgers.
Slot has not shown anything last season to suggest that he can improve the performances, they simply got worse and worse as the season wore on. At this stage he truly is that stubborn turd that won't flush away.
27 May 2026 08:22:09
I don't know, to me, I read Slot sitting down during the send off as him not trying to take the shine away from the two legends, given he knows he's not popular with the fans right now. If he had stood up, walked around the pitch clapping the fans and got involved with Mo and Robbo, I'm sure folks on here would say 'Look at that egotistical p****, what's he doing milking the applause? I'm not clapping for that ****.' Kind of a damned if you do, damned if you don't type thing, honestly.
27 May 2026 08:58:22
Can anyone actually prove that Slot spends half his week in the Netherlands? This site is the only place it seems to be talked about as if it's fact.
27 May 2026 09:33:31
You tell um, Vik ?.
That's the Vik that said we would only sign one player in the last summer transfer window.
He(?) was also angry that Konate might leave on free to Madrid or PSG and we were only looking at the likes of Marc Guehi.
26 May 2026 20:09:42
From what I’ve heard, there’s a gentleman’s agreement between Jurgen Klopp and Red Bull that allows him to leave solely for Liverpool. Whether that ends up being as Director of Football or in another capacity, only time will tell — but the door is definitely open. ?
Agree26
Disagree0
26 May 2026 20:47:14
Let's hope that's for the next year, then he becomes the DOF after that and Enrique joins!
26 May 2026 20:52:12
First I've heard of it, and I find it difficult to buy into; it's all too convenient to be coming out now. He was pure sick of the PL. His move to Red Bull was engineered over a minimum 2 year period; I don't think he ever planned on or was concerned with coming back.
There's been talk of a clause for the German national team ever since he left, which I fully buy into.
26 May 2026 22:32:50
No written legal clause in his contract - Red Bull boss says that publicly, but - 100%.
There is a gentleman's agreement / unwritten understanding. ?
He can leave only for Liverpool or Germany National Team.
No other club, no other job - only those two.
Red Bull will not stand in his way if either calls. ?
26 May 2026 22:53:14
Why did he leave then? If he wants so desperately to come back, he put it in the contract of the place he went to? Makes no sense.
27 May 2026 01:33:38
Nice variation on the usual rumours today - Slot to Italy. Germans undertaking gentleman's agreements - I like it. ?
26 May 2026 18:56:19
@carra and @victorgodamn have gone quiet. Any updates, guys? Is he still going or not? I’d take Sam Allerdyce rather than another season of watching bake bean head ruin us!!

26 May 2026 19:35:05
He's not going, it's absolutely nailed on that he is staying.
26 May 2026 19:41:57
He's shtaying, I'm afraid.
26 May 2026 19:46:17
He's staying until he gets sacked in December when we're in midtable.
26 May 2026 19:49:03
He can't be staying, don't care who's saying he is, the fans don't want him, he doesn't even wanna stay, the players don't want him. I know Bert n Ernie are incompetent but no one is that incompetent.
26 May 2026 19:57:20
As far as I am aware, he's still departing. I know others have walked back their opinion on it, but I have not heard anything different.
26 May 2026 19:57:21
Grow up, divvy, and have some respect. The man won us the league and is a decent man, regardless of dip in form. Unbelievable, some people.
26 May 2026 19:58:39
You want Slot gone at all cost and you'll accept a worse than Slot.
Carra and The Fields, Robbo and co will share update if and when they have one. My God, it's barely days after the season closed, these things take time.
It could take a while, a month after which Slot might still stay. In fact, I'm almost certain he's staying, he's not talking like someone who's leaving.
26 May 2026 20:16:31
If he was going, he'd be gone by now. So, it's pretty clear he's staying. Someone had a theory that they want to wait until he is in final 12 months of contract, because it would be cheaper to fire him. But that is rubbish.
He has promised improvement with a good window, and the club fell for it, failing to read the room and engage with fans to see what they think.
It's pretty obvious, 'most fans want rid of him'. But, it's also pretty obvious that the board don't care what the fans think and only care about UCL qualification.
26 May 2026 20:17:39
Lol "Divvy", been a long time since I heard that.
26 May 2026 20:25:55
The Lid, if he's a decent man he'd have walked away by now.
26 May 2026 20:31:40
Best one I heard recently was on Lingo show on UK TV, two Scouser girls were on there having to guess the words from the letters available. They'd got down to their last guess and couldn't get it. When the answer was disclosed as Knob, one turned to the other and said "Well that's us told!"
26 May 2026 20:53:20
He just can't stay. It's simple, we have regressed under him. He couldn't sort the team out when we needed him to. He's been a stop gap that's won us the league, but the football has been nothing short of terrible. The players are underwhelmed and underperforming, the fans are underwhelmed and not happy. The owners are not stupid, they know what needs doing.
I'm just hoping it's Enrique as plan A. If not, and he commits to PSG, it's Hoeness. But if, and while, there is a chance of Enrique, I would be hoping FSG are pulling up trees to say, 'Hey Luis, fancy being part of the most successful club in England and being an absolute legend in Liverpool as well as Barcelona and Paris.' ?? ?? ?? ??
26 May 2026 20:57:36
The lid, he's a decent man?! U actually believe that rubbish? He's thrown jurgen under the bus several times this season, taken multiple shots at the fans, broken several players who didn't deserve the treatment they've had, thrown Mo under the bus, gave us some of the worse football I've seen in decades, pretty much laughs in every interview after we get beaten and last of all sat on his arse disinterested and yawning the last day of the season whilst the players did a lap of honour he should've been paying his respects to the fans too, he also should've made a speech about the unacceptable season and at least tried to make sure we understood that next season would be different . instead he tries justifying the abomination of a season with the quote, 'some big clubs don't make the champions league' . we don't give a fcuk about anyone else, don't try justifying the ? show we've witnessed with comments like that!
Good man my arse .
26 May 2026 21:13:17
Yeah, I suppose we have to cling on to the hope that we are waiting another season for Enrique. Unfortunately, it comes at a cost and could even see us down near the bottom of the league with the Spurs of the world. Let’s face it, take those 5 lucky wins at the start of the season away and we would be in bottom half, near the bottom of the table. It has got worse too, so I don’t see how 2 new wingers is going to fix the poor coaching and rubbish tactics. Plus, what is the point in buying 2 wingers if Slot just plays Gakpo every match?
The football this year was abysmal. Regardless of results or whatever stats. It is clear as day that the team is disjointed, the tactics don’t work, the squad is imbalanced and he is overseeing poor fitness and conditioning which is resulting in more injuries.
On that topic, our injuries were not that bad, but just another reason why Slot is so unpopular, because he refuses to take any accountability for his poor coaching and has blamed pretty much everything but himself. The guy makes Mourinho look humble.
I’m gonna take next season off or at least until he’s gone. It’s a bit left field, but I am just not going to support the club during the Slot / Hughes / Edwards era, because they are pulling everyone’s pants down and having a right laugh at us all. I just want LFC back. Since when was qualifying for the UCL good enough? We scraped it at 60 points. That would normally be miles off it and that is where we will be next season.....miles off it.
26 May 2026 21:17:15
It must be pretty difficult for fans to defend Slot still. But there will always be one or two on these forums just to wind people up. Take no notice. Doesn't matter if he's a decent man or not, that's not the topic. He's a rubbish coach and is ruining the club along with Hughes and Edwards.
26 May 2026 21:25:48
I'm with you, inbeta - I love our football club and want us to succeed, but I just can't watch the dross Slot is offering us.
On top of that, the 'most cleaver guys in the room' are too busy trying to gaslight the fans to believe everything is going the way it's meant to, a stark change from the 'dynasty' narrative we were being fed at the start of the season.
26 May 2026 21:52:43
Yeah, at the start it was all about being the best for the next 10 years and taking advantage of City when they aren't great. But what we got was a very unremarkable title win. You could argue it was uncontested, then the real Slot ball starting kicking in this season, and it was clear pretty much from the outset, that he didn't know what to do with his new signings and we were going to struggle.
So when it started hitting the fan, the narrative changed to say it was a transition year and all part of the big plan. They want to play really badly and lose record amounts of games, this is the way...
Then there was all the stuff about bribing journalists to tow to company line, which I am not sure I believe either. I just don't know what is going on?
All I can rely on is my two eyes and what I see is a really badly coached team with players performing well below their capabilities.
This is on the coach and the DOF for signing these players. I am going to stick my neck out here and say if Slot stays, we finish in bottom half. He didn't show at any time this season that he had learnt from previous poor games or results. Did not change anything tactically. This is all part of this new style of coach that is so arrogant and refuses to change things that are clearly not working. Amorim, Ange, Russell Martin, Slot etc etc just does the same thing over and over again and expects the other teams just to lie down and let the boys play. It was embarrassingly easy for teams against us last season and it will be even worse next season, just wait and see.
26 May 2026 21:56:42
He's going.
...to Ibiza.
26 May 2026 22:08:20
Really want him to go, but after the last match it's clearly he is staying imo. If he was considered gone, FSG and Edwards will attend the match, while Slot will be given the mic to announce he is going by mutual agreement and applauded by fans, as this should be the 'Liverpool way', everyone is happy and save face.
FSG did not attend, and Slot did not have a post-season speech; it just showed the board had already made the hard call, and they knew it was not welcomed among the fans.
That's why they are trying to avoid interaction and will keep dragging until the new season starts. In the meanwhile they will try winning the fans back by being active on transfers market with non-stop PR about wingers will solve Slot's team.
26 May 2026 22:11:16
You can ask for him to be sacked or forced to resign, but no need for insults referring to his person or head. I was prepared to accept giving him a chance, but I see no signs of improvement up to and including the v last game. Purposeless possession that ends with a mistake.
26 May 2026 22:38:33
Baked bean head, that's a new one.
Whatever happens with Slot, I'll forever remember this period for the emotional dysregulation and anger displacement towards a complete stranger.
26 May 2026 22:25:44
A decent man? Blames anyone other than himself, but takes credit for anything that goes right? Goes back to Holland at every opportunity instead of coaching the team? Throwing the players under the bus, more excuses than Brendan Rodgers! Anyone with 2 eyes in their head can see he needs to go! He's ruining this club! He's stubborn and out of his depth and only won the league because of the team klopp left him whilst also using his tactics!
26 May 2026 22:48:43
Don't care if he's decent or not, but he needs to do the decent thing.
27 May 2026 00:02:59
Baked bean head. ?
Made me laugh that.
27 May 2026 01:41:39
@Inbeta, there's also a lot of easily lead people who just parrot the loudest noise because they can't think for themselves and don't want to be left out of the herd.
27 May 2026 08:28:03
Nail on the head, WDW.
27 May 2026 08:32:00
One thing I'll never get about the board these days is why it's not enough to think Slot isn't the right fit for us anymore and somebody should take over, we also have to think he's a terrible person and is conspiring to ruin the club. Do we really have to have arguments about whether he's a decent person or not?
All this stuff about taking the season off if Slot is still here, I don't understand either. I certainly don't think signings are going to fix some fundamental problems we have (especially off the ball), but I don't think anybody can argue that if Isak, Ekitike and Wirtz were healthy and had momentum in the season and Gakpo and Mo's numbers didn't drop off a cliff, we would have had a better year?
Bring in two forwards with pace, a midfielder or a full back who can progress the ball from deep, and an athletic player who can tackle and cover space in the midfield and I think we will be considerably better than we were this year.
I too would be less than pleased if Slot was kept on, but I'd also still want to know how we get on next year with new additions that fix some of the glaring problems in our squad and Isak returning to something like peak fitness.
27 May 2026 10:04:23
I think there are two strands to this thread. I never said anything personal about Slot or his head or whatever way he looks. I only said I didn't like him as a coach. For me to say I'm taking the season off, is just me voicing frustration. I know as soon as it kicks off I will be watching. But I genuinely find it hard to watch under Slot. Like, it is literally like paint drying, and there are glaringly obvious issues that he can't or doesn't seem to want to fix.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, and this is mine. I also appreciate your because if Isak, Ekitike and Wirtz were fit and firing the season could have been better, but we still would have conceded an average of 1.4 goals per game.
27 May 2026 09:29:41
West Derby Wanderer, I am quite content with my thoughts on Slot, the ones that follow the herd are the ones that blindly follow a failing regime because it worked once, then they call it "the Liverpool way" as if it makes us a better club than other clubs.
To me, sticking with a failure makes us a stupid club.
27 May 2026 11:57:10
@InBeta, do you know the difference between an owner of a business asset and a regime?
The asset has appreciated from £300m to £3-4bn since the 'regime' took over a club in a very poor state, close to administration. The 'regime' has won everything available to win.
It's been a bad season and we still won CL qualification.
I don't actually give a tuppeny toss what you think, but I will say anybody who thinks the club is 'stupid' might want to reconsider the validity of their thought based on the evidence of FSG's achievements during their tenure.
26 May 2026 15:44:47
Heard Minteh and Barnes are top targets, as Diomande might wait a year to go PSG as crazy wages on offer. With the Barnes deal also looking at Livramento and Hall, offering Gomez, Elliot and Tzimikas. I doubt any of that is true, but if we are raiding Newcastle I'd like to think we are wanting Guimares.
Agree5
Disagree0
26 May 2026 16:33:29
Sorry pal, but Barnes is just not LFC level to take us forwards. Has the English this going, but other than that is a mid table PL player, not what we need.
Minteh is always thrown up because he worked with Slot before, again, don't see that one personally.
When we are linked to the likes of Diomande and Barcola, they are in a different ball park.
26 May 2026 16:36:09
If you're referring to Harvey Barnes... then I'd rather have John Barnes instead.
26 May 2026 16:41:15
Minteh & Harvey Barnes? Bottom of the barrel, meet the scraper. That's Bodgers level dross.
26 May 2026 16:41:47
I'd rather just not buy anyone.
26 May 2026 17:08:56
Sounds like a load of waffle; no way Diomande is waiting a year, absolutely zero chance Leipzig are in a position to offer higher wages than PSG, and a less than zero chance he'd take it even if they could.
26 May 2026 18:26:13
Harvey Barnes, jeez, how the mighty have fallen.
26 May 2026 19:32:53
What's the point, eh, LFC8?
I don't see the point of getting wound up by rumours, either.
26 May 2026 20:20:56
You've mentioned three possibilities from Newcastle and yet missed out on the only genuine possibility, Anthony Gordon.
The only player to Potentially leave Newcastle for us this summer is Gordon, we're not signing Harvey Barnes or either of their fullbacks.
26 May 2026 21:00:51
Barnes and Minteh?! I know we've been poor, but good god, I'd rather play Mamardashvili on the wing.
27 May 2026 08:37:48
Chewy, I think the OP meant he'd wait a year to then go to PSG as they are willing to offer silly wages, not Leipzig. That was how I interpreted it anyway.
26 May 2026 12:06:22
Seems extremely unlikely, but some on X claiming we are interested in Foden.
Any truth in it?
Thoughts on it?

26 May 2026 12:58:08
Hopefully not because he's massively over rated and if he won't even try for Man City, then he definitely won't try for us.
26 May 2026 13:15:40
If he was cheap I'd take a gamble, English too.
Can do a job in a few positions, but I have a feeling he's someone who needs mollycoddling and Slot ain't that guy.
26 May 2026 13:40:35
He already signed a new contract with City to 2030.
26 May 2026 14:11:50
He's got a ridiculous face.
26 May 2026 14:36:57
He's literally just signed a new long term deal at City. Can't see it at all.
26 May 2026 14:49:29
They're pulling your leg.
26 May 2026 15:18:21
Don't think his ma would be happy.
26 May 2026 15:40:57
It would make getting hammered with his mate Jack Grealish every week easier, less travel.
26 May 2026 15:43:40
That's all we need.
Another number ten or number ten type player.
26 May 2026 15:45:00
I'm sure Slot would use him as a backup LB!
26 May 2026 15:36:11
Is right Scouse John
His ma would get chinned again if she stepped foot near Anfield ?

You should seriously unfollow that Twatter account. He signed a new contract a month ago. Why would we even be interested in an AM when we just signed Wirtz last summer and have Dom too?! Ask your Twatter friend if he even follows football, will you?
26 May 2026 17:24:23
Foden can keep Slot company in Ibiza.
26 May 2026 18:27:16
Slot will get on great with Foden's mam in Ibiza.
26 May 2026 19:34:57
Foden doesn't like to train, so will fit in beautifully with Slot's plan.
26 May 2026 19:36:37
It's unlikely to happen, but it's a rumour and another excuse to stick the boot into Slot, so keep them coming.
26 May 2026 22:39:51
Where would he play? On the right?
I feel like Foden may have hit his ceiling akin to a young player busting through and then facing a setback.
26 May 2026 11:01:55
Morning eds1
Do you know if Real Madrid are still interested in AM from us?
{Ed001's Note - last I heard, no.}

Awful news that Ed001
26 May 2026 11:42:06
Oh s***, are we stuck then? ?
Maybe our AmDram needs some reinforcement? ?
Desperately making some lemonade ...
26 May 2026 12:34:14
Hopefully, they take him and Konate.
26 May 2026 12:35:03
A very underwhelming player wearing the No. 10 shirt.
Better than Voronin, and Joe Cole though...
There is a weight to the shirt, you know...
1- Clemence/Alisson
4- Hyypia/Vvd
6- Hansen
7 - Keagan/Dalglish/Suarez
8 - Gerrard
9 - Rush/Fowler/Torres/Bobby
10 - Barnes/Owen
11- Salah.
26 May 2026 12:47:55
Does Mane not get on the list for 10? Souness in at 11 if Dalglish in (era wise).
26 May 2026 13:11:38
Yeah you missed Mane and Souness...
26 May 2026 14:06:31
Wayne, the number on the back is just that, a number. The crest on the front is everything.
26 May 2026 15:09:28
Missed the Mighty Emlyn at 6, good old Crazy Horse.
26 May 2026 15:33:25
What? No Jimmy Case (8), Peter Thompson (11) or the wonderful Ian Callaghan (7)? ...And of course our own "Flying Pig" Tommy Lawrence (1).
26 May 2026 15:48:19
Steve Heighway!!??
26 May 2026 18:03:07
Jan Molby, mate.
26 May 2026 20:07:51
Roger Hunt and John Toshack also.
26 May 2026 09:27:24
Two Youngster-Rumours:
Keneth Eichhorn - one of the biggest midfield-talents in Germany. Basically everyone is in for him but according to reports in Germany Liverpool are the frontrunners. Cost will be at 10-12 Million Euro (exit clause). He will be loaned out for 1-2 years.
Samuel Martinez - young kid from Colombia. Also a big talent and apparently we already signed him a few days ago but I cant find anything on socials ? Not someone for the first team for now but someone with huge potential.

26 May 2026 11:04:16
The first one has been reported fairly regularly recently by Bayern Space (ITK Space).
The Colombian kid I've seen Romano posted a few times about it.
Don't know much about either to be honest, and it's a shame we're not bringing through more youngsters from our own academy.
26 May 2026 11:33:12
If the 16-year-old can tackle, track back and pass a ball within 10 seconds of receiving it, he doesn't need to be loaned out.
26 May 2026 12:29:13
Sir Bob, I believe he has to be 18 to immediately play for us. Therefore, he will be loaned out until then.
26 May 2026 18:48:14
Fabinho's Hair - Trust you on that one. The point was more around if he's got those qualities - it would bout him in our starting 3 in midfield.
26 May 2026 08:33:24
Morning Gents.
Few sore heads today?
Been told Michael Edwards is to leave his position at the club.
No manager update as of yet.
Cheers

Thanks for sharing Robbo, I think if this does happen the dominoes will start to fall.
26 May 2026 08:52:22
Salutations, Robbo, if Edwards and Hughes are both looking likely to leave, given that they are the two responsible for long term planning for the squad and team over the next few years (and in the present), who is going to be doing all the selling and buying this summer? Surely we have got the ball rolling on purchasing players already? It looks a right mess at the moment.
26 May 2026 08:52:42
Accountability lives.
26 May 2026 08:53:57
?????? Take a bow, Robbo, take a bow.
26 May 2026 08:56:51
Cheers Rob,
Are we replacing or restructuring now he's left?
26 May 2026 08:57:11
If this is true, he is admitting defeat, leaving midway through a rebuild which is in his vision.
How can a DOF choose the style of play for one of the biggest football clubs in the world? He is a football man in some senses, but does not possess the qualities of a high level manager and tactician.
This now means we'd have a half finished rebuild which may not suit the next manager's vision.
If he goes, they all have to go.
26 May 2026 08:59:36
I'm told Slot will be sacked only when the search parties in Amsterdam & Ibiza can locate him.
26 May 2026 09:02:58
Michael Edwards leaving, below rumour suggesting Klopp coming back.
.Am I putting 2 & 2 together and getting 22, like Ed1 has suggested? Almost certainly, but I love to live in ignorant bliss!
26 May 2026 09:04:54
Well, that's the first bit of good news, Robbo. ?
26 May 2026 09:05:19
Ah yeah, Edwards wasn't part of the round table love in. Makes sense. Thanks Robbo, keep them coming.
26 May 2026 09:11:28
In a Kenneth Williams voice... ooooooh I say. ?
26 May 2026 09:20:32
Klopp could replace Edward’s and come in a DoF role. We can dream.
26 May 2026 09:21:45
Nice one, Robbo, hope he is taking Hughes and Slot with him.
Must admit, Hughes and Edwards' faces looked like they were not happy on Sunday, giving Salah and Robertson their farewells.
26 May 2026 09:32:41
Pity it's not Hughes and Slot.
26 May 2026 09:35:18
Good new long term, but not sure if it is right now. Do we know which of Hughes & Edwards are making the decision to keep Slot or is it a collective decision. If I remember correctly he was the one who possibly put a spanner in Xabi coming in.
But perhaps he was the one pushing for change of manager & Hughes was against…..
We need both gone - Hughes I’ve no real faith in either, at 60 points it’s our lowest points total since the 58 Hodgson managed & you’d have to say he had a far poorer team/squad.
26 May 2026 09:43:07
Would be quite a sickener if we didn't go for Alonso on Edwards' insistence for him then to be fired and we lose a good manager. It would mean a very very poor season gets worse...
26 May 2026 09:54:05
Hallelujah!
26 May 2026 10:06:14
The dominos starting to fall.
26 May 2026 11:02:04
For the stat obsessed guys, who said Slot's similar to Klopp, in fact he's similar to Hodgeson. Over a 20 game period for LFC, Hodgeson took 25 points. From a 20 game period this season, Slot's taken 24 points. Based on that, and the potential for a replacement needed, would they look at stats and say Slot's done ok, or would they say, wow no way, he's gotta go, let's get Klopp in as DOF and Hoeness as his Manager/Coach could be worth a punt.
26 May 2026 11:15:25
I was under the understanding that Edwards was brought in by FSG to run their multi club portfolio! Now, they have shelved it, it makes sense he is no longer needed because his primary job role doesn't exist. Not like he is any good as a DOF & could do that instead. ?
26 May 2026 11:55:47
Crazy how much our opinion of Edwards has turned around. During his first stint with us, he was Jesus reincarnated. Selling useless players for tonnes of money and buying great players for peanuts.
Now he's chief exec of football, he's absolutely ruined everything with his pal Hughes.
{Ed001's Note - our opinion? Only those who had no idea about him thought he was any good and then purely because he made sure to tell everyone he was great and give no credit to the actual people who did the work. He was terrible in his first stint. It was a huge mistake to bring him back.}
26 May 2026 12:01:31
Klopp can never be a dof for us, he would be a millstone round the manager's neck.
26 May 2026 12:03:31
Correct, SzSz8, was just going to write that. Finding another club to buy was his role, no club, no job, no Edwards.
26 May 2026 12:17:40
Hopefully, people saying Gordon come over last week is right in the fact he will be swinging that axe ...
We need to be brutal and quick. Too many other clubs going to be playing catch up, and we need to be decisive.
Bin all 3. Start again. And do it quickly!
26 May 2026 12:35:21
Good. Get rid of him. Failed us in November.
26 May 2026 12:45:49
Cheers, Robbo.
If true, it would make sense. There have been rumours for a while now about FSG wanting to clear house behind the scenes. Also, rumours they've been looking at sporting directors in Germany.
Then, you've got the Klopp rumours, which may or may not be true, but some have said he's been spoken to about a CEO of Football-type role rather than management.
One thing I noticed before any of this news, and thought was strange at the time, was Edwards not being at Anfield for the final game of the season. It was Salah and Robbo's send-off, two club legends, and he played a big part in signing both.
Feels like something bigger than just a managerial change is going on behind the scenes.
26 May 2026 12:51:37
Honestly, news of Edwards, Hughes, and Slot leaving would be better than any new signing, in my opinion.
26 May 2026 14:14:46
Hopefully Edwards goes to Milan, Hughes to Saudi, and Slot off to Ajax before the season starts!
26 May 2026 14:39:50
Now that the multi club purchase has been ditched by FSG, I don't see a role for Edwards anymore.
Makes sense for him to move on.
26 May 2026 15:12:49
@Fbart, only a casual or relentlessly lazy fan (or Slopt acolyte) would dare compare Slot to Klopp in any way, shape possible, esp. after this season just gone.
@Clay, why do we need to wait till the search parties discover Slot in Ibiza or Amsterdam when we can just sack his arse in absentia?
