He needs to do the right thing have a pair of balls about him and hand in a transfer request maybe then we can get the ball rolling maybe lfc are just waiting for that moment and only then start asking to talk to the player.

Saints can turn his transfer request down though. So if their adamant he ain't moving then it would make little difference.

Werlfc that Coutinho your talking about? Hate when fans support players pushing to move to another club putting in a transfer request, going on strike etc. yet if one of ours does it they show no loyalty. what's to say in a season or two VVD does the exact same tactic to move on.

It's inevitable mate he's going to go money talks sick of living in the past with our success time to move on won nothing we have money is the only option to success unfortunately let's get real and stop kidding ourselves.

I doubt we'll approach them unless VVD hands in a transfer request and is adamant he will only come to us. Any other scenario and I could see a possibility of something happening in regards to us unsettling him in the first place.

There is no point in keeping a player who won't play for you, if that is the case. Im convinced that VVD will be gone by the end of the window. Im far from convinced it will be to LFC.

Will the people above have the same attitude if Coutinho does the same thing?

Irish :
he will blink first. He's training on his own and it's World Cup year. Saints have played it perfectly.

There is a difference. We have aspirations to win the league and win champions league. Southampton do not. Also, Southampton are predominantly a selling club, seem to have taken the mantra from west ham these days. The reason I still believe this transfer will happen is because klopp has not looked elsewhere for a cb. All this talk that "other than van die there is no one out there" is absolute rubbish, there are hundreds and thousands of cb out there, perhaps a gamble is needed, like houlier on hypia. Although I see this lack of movement as a sign we are focused on getting our man.

Holland won't make the WC so he need not worry about that, Ron. Also, a transfer request can be turned down and Saints have shown they can play hard ball. Just ask Morgan, Wanyama and a certain Sadio Mane.

Nother by our transfer dealings have we any hope of winning anything.
