Off and pessimistic!

Few things

1/ were not' not getting "top players" because br can't attract them it's;

Not our remit for transfers & we cannot afford them

2/ they didn't sack Kk because of his failings in the league, they sacked him because they wanted to get a young manager to build for the future and selected a young manager to primarily work with young players

3/ we are already a top 6 side and out of all the others have the least adjustments to make ie transfers and have the most growth with regards to our already good young players (ibe, can, moreno, marko, COUTINHO, Hendo, sturridge in 2/3 yearss wow.) and lallana & lovren who will have much better campaigns next season.

We will be just fine fellow red.

Its frustrating but we will get there, it's all part of the plan :)

A new manager in by the way will be under the same remit as Brendan. It would be someone like Eddie howe. Attacking football, young players eto but tbe next one in would be a head coach, rather tHan a manager! It's never going to be the man u approach with LVG buy your way back in to tbe top 4 with all you have in tbe bank, it's a slower hopefully more sustainable process that will either fail or succeed - bet you can.guess which one I'm hoping for

I was pissed when I read that to, Lucas was the sole reason for our unbeaten run this season, then he got injured and we lost the next two games.
It's clear to see that's Rodgers doesn't have a clue, yes we understand that Suarez left a big hole and sturridge not being fit hurt us badly but at the end of the day you had over 100m to improve us with CL football and he still couldn't attract top players.
For him to prefer Allen at holding mid and to include Milner who is a attacking player in that proves he hasn't a clue.
We will get overrun at the back next season if we just have Allen as a DM.

I know Ed002 comments that players are transient employees, but losing Agger, Carra, Gerrard and Lucas all within a couple of seasons can't be good for the character, drive and identity of the team. These are key qualities that can turn a game as well as ability.

Rodgers will go to FSG with his usual car sales patter. "The gearbox is so smooth, see how quiet it is!" When in fact it is full of sawdust.

He will talk his way out of the sack.

We will be even worse next season. No Lucas but we will have Allen !

Great post patemondo, Lucas has been a loyal servant of the club and done a fantastic job as evidenced by his win%. He's a far more effective holding midfielder than Allen.

Likewise going forward Allen has nothing extra vs. Lucas at all (and way behind Hendo, Countinho, Can, Llalana) so the comments are ludicrous if true.

Having said that, I don't mind losing lucas myself due to his injuries, but only if we sign someone who's a better defensive mid and deep playmaker for the future (perhaps Illara?)

I agree with the first poster, all this talk of a new manager being under the remit of buying young is nonsense as there is no remit. We looked at and failed to get established players, we failed to get them because Rodgers didn't want them HE not FSG went the route of talented youth. People saying it isn't all doom and gloom and saying keep Rodgers he has young players who will get stronger, they will not get stronger if they are played out of position continually, what they will do is leave. Selling Lucas in favour of Allen must be a joke and to be honest could end up pushing Coutinho out too. Rodgers is a joke, he is the reason we imploded this year, he has to go. The sooner the better
