Any idea if the Captains armband will change hands under Klopp?
Personally I think Lucas should have been given it when Steven Gerrard left, he's been at the Club for a long time, would run through walls for the Club. Can't believe Rodgers tried to sell him! Idiot.

Why should it change hands, exactly?

I was just going to post has anyone noticed how much it appears Klopp gets on with Lucas. He's been at the press conferences, seems to be getting positive attention his way from Klopp. And it is much deserved. I agree he should of been capt. With heno vice. Nothing against Hendo at all btw.

Exactly why it should change hands is because IMO Henderson should never have gotten it in the first place.
I doubt it will change now, but just how Milner has manged to get his hands on it before Lucas is a real poor showing, guys only been at the club 5 mins.
Concur with Henderson V. Captain.

It shouldn't change hands, Henderson is a leader and is still pretty young and will improve in the role. I still think Milner is a weird choice for vice as he is a new player and I think the captain needs to have a few years at the club to shine. Lucas or sakho for vice for me.

I agree that Milner should never have even been signed, not getting the arm band and Lucas should've been vice captain or even captain but it's over with now. However, Klopp may see Lucas as a big ally and leader with a proven record of dedication and professionalism. He doesn't have to be captain to fit the above description.

Henderson is more of a leader than Lucas is and has a voice on the pitch, and would be most respected by officials IMO than Lucas would, possibly because he's English. I understand the sentiment of Lucas being captain and I would have wanted him to be captain instantly if he was as prone to injury as he is. He will likely spend a lot of time on the sideline every season so we will just have an absent captain for a lot of the time. Doesn't make sense to me.

100% agree. Henderson is young, leads by example and, IMO our best player (I take consistency into consideration in my verdict there) . Lucas is a great club man, a great guy, and a good player. Yes we do better generally when Lucas is playing (although that goes for with Henderson too probably more so) but with Lucas that is because the best we have is a good CDM not a great one in footballing terms. Lucas is almost 29 too and, whilst I agree he should not have even been considered for sale in advance of others I do think we ultimately need better in that position so I'd be unsure about his true longevity as a first team player for those reasons. Don't get me wrong I like him as a footballer and love him as a club man but I need to take the second sentiment away and think about our ability to compete at the highest. In that regard we need a great CDM and a decent Centre Half first and foremost. Milner was strange as a vice captain and as a guaranteed central player IMO. Limitations TBH on who to choose there so whilst Lucas is our best option for CDM I would make him vice!

{Ed001's Note - age is a good thing in a captain, you want an experienced head, so why mention him being 29 like it is a bad thing? He should be captain because everyone, and I do mean everyone, in the squad looks up to him. It is ridiculous to even have an argument about it. That is why Klopp has him centre stage in everything he does. Lucas is the key to our team.}

Sakho didn't get it because BR wasn't playing him so didn't want him, Lucas didn't get it because BR obviously isn't a fan either as he tried to get him out of the club.
Milner got VC as another incentive to join.
That's it folks let's get over this constant post of captains and hope Jordan gets fit soon and becomes another great Liverpool captain and let's hope Klopp gets effective football out of Milner then we can stop whining about who is and isn't in the roles.
Bigger fish to fry at the club at the moment.
