I love the Sandon personally. If you are gerting there that early though I'd say visit the docks and the cavern club.

Doctor Duncan's and The Slaughterhouse in town are ok. The Albert and the 12th Man are good just before the game.

If you are after an early drink then there is a pub in the town centre called Kozys. It's a bit rough and smelly but it opens at 7:30 in the morning.

Or the rubber duck. Always let's us in around 7 or 8 in the morning when we get the boat over from Belfast. Don't let the strict dress code sign fool you lol.

The Slaughterhouse is good, Molly Malone's is my regular though, it's on Victoria street.

Johnnyd sounds like you might be on the same Ryanair flight from Dublin as me mate. Witherspoons in the city centre opens very early for breakfast and i'm sure they sell drink from 9 or 10.

I'm on the 8am flight home Sunday morning so I'll be staying dry.

The Weatherspoons at Concert Square is really cheap as well and worth a look. If you're about in the city centre till midday and after The Fly In The Loaf is worth a go - boss pub, top landlord, and loads of quality real ale (if you're into that sort of thing) .
