Origi or Sturridge even Ings to be our main man next season what's people's views

Also we need to strengthen our full back areas especially with flanno looking likely to leave.

Fitness permitting, Sturridge is still the main man. He still offers a lot more than the other two. Second choice is Origi for me, even though the gap between him and Ings is not that big. I'll be very happy if I'm asking myself to choose between Sturridge and Origi at the end of next season (because it'll mean Origi has progressed that much further) .

If it's one up top I think it has to be Origi. Sturridge isn't suited to playing up there on his own. Would like to see the two of them together sometimes though.

Does anyone think Sturridge is a different player since his return from injury? He had a good arsenal of weapons but something seems to be lacking. His decision making seems slower, maybe he's lost a little pace, maybe trying to hard and being dispossessed too easily.

Origi. the main man up front.
I'm still not convinced Sturridge will ever get back to his very best. I'd like to be proved wrong though.

Don't think studge is fully match fit yet after his injury, he didn't seem to have full confidence in his body either, unsurprisingly really.
But i would have no problem whatsoever rotating studge and origi depending on the opposition, both can do a decent job upfront, so we are spoilt in a way, means we can manage studge and his fitness rather than over rely on him. Plus we have Ings who will have to be managed somewhat as well after a long time out, I can see origi getting a fair chunk of the time available upfront, maybe even the lions share.
I don't think we will see 2 strikers in the starting line up much, firmino as a supporting striker yeah but can't imagine 2 out of origi, studge and Ings will starting many games.
Lots of great options upfront to get excited about this season.

Depends how the other team plays in my opinion all three are superb against a high line as got the skill for when the likes of chelsea play and have 11 behind the ball we seen before he was injured origi how explosive he can be and ings can play of the last man.

I'm not so sure we shouldn't cash in on sturridge now. I really like the guy and he's a great striker when fit. Thing is we have two other really good strikers who, IMO, have higher ceilings than he does. And they can already produce, while building a team around sturridge is SUCH a risk.

For me, Origi is best suited to play on his own. Studge needs someone close to him because he drops deep to pick up the ball. Ings is a good player which if need be, can play on either flank and make dangerous inside runs to score.

Liver_La - I agree with you. I think Origi should be first choice, he has so much talent. It's funny, I never rated him until Klopp took over. He has so much talent and to my mind is the most improved player at the club. I think given the opportunity, he will really kick on this season. I know the goal he scored against AC Milan was preseason but it oozed class and a player ready to take his chance.

I'd love to see us play with two strikers up top again. That season with Suarez and Sturridge was one of the best I've seen since Rush and Dalglish played together. Sadly there's too much fear in football these days so it's all packed midfields and false 9s :- (

If we play Sturridge as striker and even if we don't want to play two strikers, isn't Origi by far the better option we have for attacking midfielder or winger? who is better in this role other than Couts? Not even Firmino in my view and surely no one else.

I think playing two upfront will work really well with these two, Sturridge likes to drop deeper occasionally while Origi is a more classic no.9 and always in the box. Play a diamond with Firmino in behind them too and the setup has goals written all over it.

Got to be Origi, the rest are all lacking something, he is our best hope right now .

Zimbo

Where would you fit in Mane?

It's a really interesting conundrum and one I'm happy that we have.

I think all three are a little different and will offer you something different as a striker.

Ings remains for me a bit of an unknown due to the low number of matches he's played under JK. I think he'll be a good fit for JK but right now we don't know.

Sturridge we know all about, he hasn't hit his pre injury best yet though. Some are doubting if he ever will, personally I think we'll see him back to his high standard again although the form he showed playing with Suarez was another level that only playing with a world class partner can create.

Origi has become a bit of a favourite under JK. He seems almost a compeltely different player to the one we saw under BR; fair play to the lad! I'm hoping he builds on his good displays last year. I'd say right now he's the one of the three who best suits our system and I'm most looking forward to seeing play. I'm going to say if he stays injury free (fat chance, I know, going off last seasons luck with injuries) he'll get 20 goals.

Where he will score some goals, he needs to up his game .

Yuri, he could play at no.10 in a diamond but I'd prefer Firmino for creativity. Mane suits right attacking midfield in a 4-2-3-1 in my view (or right wing in a 4-3-3) and in that setup I'd probably play Origi at the moment as he's the better at holdup play and bringing attacking midfielders into the game.

I think formation is horses for courses so diamond vs. some teams and 4-2-3-1 vs others.

Sturridge, but with his injury record, I think Origi and Ings will get plenty of game time. It will certainly be interesting to see how Klopp deals with the forwards.

They will both be the main men, different games require different tactics and both have qualities the other doesn't.

People are too quick to dismiss sturridge, if not for the second half collapse in the europa final we would still be talking about his goal. Top class player that needs time to get back to full fitness and form.

Origi has plenty of potential and can be as good as sturridge if not better in a few years time. Both big assets to the team.

Zimbo

A £35 mill impact sub? When Ojo is pretty much there to come off the bench. It's a terrible business yet again if Mane is not seen as starter.

For me I think I ings need a decent chance I think he is a top striker and just needs a chance to show.
