So, I got married to the coolest girl on the street a fortnite ago, it was a great experience, and I totally recommend it. Now, I rarely get personal but please bear with me for a moment. The night before, my best man's father tragically passed away. Leading up to it, he'd been very unwell and the poor lad had been through the wars with him over two years. My dad went in a similar way so it brought a lot of it home, but that unfortunately is life. Crazily enough my friend actually apologized for missing the day- it's testament to what a gent he is. (Don't worry- this isn't a depressing post in fact when one of the groomsmen gave an impromptu speech on my behalf, it was one of the highlights. ) But obviously on the morning of, I was a little down about missing my dad and my best mate and my other mates tried to keep my spirits up but I was just a mope. It was only when I received a gift from my bride to be that I finally got going. "Some couples get a blessing from the pope, I arranged for a higher power" the tag said. I opened it up to a message from God upon his holy number 9 Jersey "congrats on your wedding day rob- Robbie Fowler". I can't tell you what that gift did to me in that moment. I was always going to be able to enjoy that day but it swiftly reminded me why I'm so lucky to have a person who gets me and the importance of Liverpool in our life.

Just goes to show all those lads who are trying to figure out how to watch a big game on valentines day have it all wrong. Find a partner who understands how much it means to you and treasure them.

Cheers for sharing dude, it's nice to hear stories like that on here.

Sad for your best man, but i'm sure you get a pass for one day for your wedding, and afterwards he's still yer best mate and you'll be there for him, that's all that matters in the end.

Being married is ace, i dunno what my dad was talkin' about. :)

Congrats on the wedding my friend. Like you my wife understands there's another bird in my life. She even converted from a Utd fan to LFC when we got together because she's happy when I'm happy.
