What are the chances the teams that the remaining teams that we'll be facing in the PL (Stoke, Chelsea and Brighton) take it easy against us and not go in for any hard challenges or scythe down any of our players?

We're incredibly light in midfield and any new injury will derail our season (unless Lallana and Can make a miraculous comeback)

There are no easy games in the EPL. And I don't think any team will do us any favors. Klopp will have to do what he did against WBA. Bring in 4-5 changes (he clearly said he will have to get "creative" at the post match press conference) and hope we pull through with a win. There will be a drop off in our quality, but I don't see how we have any other choice. Maybe a chance for a couple of the U23s to shine.

This is why you have a squad in modern football. Look at how many first team players we have available right now; 3 keepers (Karius, Mignolet, Ward), 2 left backs (Robbo, Moreno), 4 centre backs (Lovren, Virgil, Klavan, Gomez), 1 right back (Clyne), 5 midfielders (Hendo, Gini, Milner, Woodburn and Arnold), and 5 forwards (Salah, Firmino, Mane, Ings, Solanke) .

Throw in Kamil Grabara, Tony Gallacher, Connor Masterson, Herbie Kane, Rafa Camacho and Curtis Jones who are all currently training with the first team on a regular basis and we still have in excess of 25 players to pick from, to get through a maximum of 5 games in a month.

Klopp has to be able to manage that if he is going to be a winner. The true measure of a man is not how much he achieves when everything is perfect, but how he responds to adversity.

What are the chances that Stoke will not scythe down our players on the regular? About the same as Danny Ings winning the golden boot this season.

If you expect favors then expect to lose. We have to win vs Stoke cos with that, top 4 is assured as we will only need a point from the last 2 games at worst (good compared to chelsea's is like an extra point) . One last effort, boys.

Chelsea will be at us 100%.
We need 3’points on Saturday to get top 4, however, top 4 doesn’t mean much when you win the Champions League 🏆.

Spot on, Ron. A CL win can overshadow a mid to lower table finish, as well it should. On to Stoke.

The beancounters at LFC will not share your opinion, Ron. If we don't make it to the top 4, not only will we lose potential funds from the EPL (around 2 Million per place, if I remember correctly from Ed002), but we also lose some potential funds from UEFA in the UCL next year (even if we win this year), because their market pool distribution is dependent on the position we end up with in the EPL at the end of this season.

Sack those bean counters Ra!

We exist to win trophies. 5th and a CL win versus 4th and a CL loss?
No contest mate.

Guys, we have one league match (vs Chelsea) to win and one CL match (the final) we need to win in the next month of football, if we can avoid losing the game next wednesday too badly. That is worst case scenario. Why can't we do both?

I would take that all day, Ron. However, the season ends before the CL final (should we make it) so in that chronological manner, you get top 4 first and then figure the rest out afterwards.
