Driving over to the match, listening to the pre match build up on radio Merseyside. Lallana's name gets mentioned on the the team sheet and thought to myself - rubbish.

He had a brilliant game today.

Hi Eds and Reds. In light of what happened today in the Aston villa match, I wanted to get your thoughts on the matter. I realize it’s not Liverpool related, but it’s football related as a whole. This effects all club and all fans.

There are a lot of pundits who are calling for swift, extreme action to be taken. All of them (that I heard) are suggesting multiple closed door matches and point deductions. Why is it that the clubs should be the only ones made example of?

That IDIOT was walked off the pitch pumping his fist in celebration, and a few were praising him for it. I get bitter rivalries. But this is just barbaric. That could have just as easily been some maniac with a knife. The precedent doesn’t need to just be set by the clubs. It needs to be STRICTLY punished by the government. Should the stewards have stopped him? Yeah, but they didn’t. I do not know the laws in England, but it has to come from government first. I say if you go on the pitch, you’re guaranteed years in prison, and a lengthy spell too.

What are your thoughts?

{Ed025's Note - this for me is a problem with society rather than a football problem Tj, this low life piece of crap could have done that anywhere but chose to do it at a football match, the solution...being less tolerant with filth like this who walk our streets, send him to prison for a decent length of time, forget all this serve half your time if your good...double it if your bad, bring back discipline in schools and stop making excuses for these out of control kids who think carrying a knife or any weapon is ok...will it happen...of course not...the do gooders wont let it mate..

Here here Ed25. We have become a nanny state. Build a big f#@k of prison and fill it with the **** bags that roam our society. I hate what our nation has become and the "human rights" card these Arse holes use. Bang them up, no early release.

Rant over, now I can get back to my hot chocolate and ripple! 👍.

{Ed025's Note - enjoy irish..

Too many people these days, getting on for 8 billion.
More people = more scumbags.

It’s unsustainable and eventually nature gets rid of species which become too successful hence climate change, pollution, mass spread of infectious disease, more conflict.

It’s inevitable and the beginning of the end for the human race. 🤝

Anyway, great win for the reds today 👍.

{Ed025's Note - bloody hell ron...is it worth me picking up a coupon for next weeks footy mate.. :)

Yeah enjoy the ride whilst it lasts ed25. 😎.

{Ed025's Note - i will certainly try ron..

I feel if the behaviour carries on we will end up with games behind closed doors or losing their seats for next awaygame.

As for ridding the behaviour from society, let police/ stewards do their job and let parents& teachers discipline kids.

Consensus expert opinion says the maximum number of humans the planet can sustain is between 9 and 10 billion based on availability of essential natural resources (including drinking water) .
We will have about 9.5 billion by the year 2050-2060 if the slowing of the population growth rate continues.

200 years ago we had less than a billion humans, now we have 7.75 billion 🤝.

{Ed025's Note - i dont think that will effect me much ron...unless there is reincarnation of course...and knowing me i will come back as an evertonian..

Great response ed. Could not agree more with your initial response.

That's the biggest problem these days imo WYred, the lack of discipline.

Agree with all, the fella is a proper scumbag. Scumbags are seemingly making a comeback, apologists need to stop molly coddling them and give a few a clip round the ear. It did me more good than harm.

Anyway, not all doom and gloom Ron (well it is if you prefer the planet rather than people, like I do), but as population rises it seems that 11 billion is actually the approximate ceiling of where human population can reach, based on the fact that people now live to be a generation older than they used to (a generation which in itself does not generally reproduce) . Unless we all end up able to live well over a hundred, and create another generation then population will cap itself. The logic is quite difficult to get your head around, but in this case, the stats don’t lie. (Check out Hans Rosling, he actually makes statistics interesting and easy to understand) . Food and water producing technology will improve as it will inevitably have to. The human race has a cannot knack of overcoming those sorts of problems, for good or bad.

Basically, it won’t be population that kills us. It’s a nuclear winter, human created ice age or natural disaster that’ll get us in the end.

Come on the Redmen!

I wouldn’t worry about that Ron, once 5g is fully rolled out we will all be microwaved from the inside causing mass tumours and cancer so the elite an then upload their consciousness into an ai human hybrid consisting of organs donated by good people and live forever because there will be no need for any human who isn’t a billionaire. Msm won’t dare tell you this though.

Blimey lerchy, don’t get me started on 5G. The amount of research done by trustworthy institutions that shows how dangerous it will be is mind blowing.

One thing I would say is that without all the mindless mutants who will end up roaming around, the billionaires won’t be able to keep generating the billions to sustain them. It’s a very scary prospect, but I’m not entirely sure how long it will end up staying around. We might all be fried before we realise its too late, however.

Send these idiots to the military. I’ve got many mates that I served with that were either going to turn up like the above mentioned arsehole or tolerable members of society. Thankfully the military did the latter.

{Ed025's Note - some do gooder would put the blocks on that para, and claim that their human rights were being infringed upon mate..

16.) 10 Mar 2019
10 Mar 2019 20:41:45
It's projected that world population will grow up to about 11 Billion before beginning a steady decline downwards and on a permanent basis, unless World Wars convince humans to start conceiving again (as has happened in the past) .

But yes. Things are about to get much worse, and for quite some time, before they get better.

Asking the police / judiciary to do more isn't going to happen, the sentence's are set in stone and so far removed from what the law abiding majority would consider fair punishment it's a joke.

If the establishment ever dared to ask the public's opinion on punishments ( which they won't after Brexit)

Terrorists multi murder -death penalty

Child rape murder-death penalty.

The American three strikes and your looking at life imprisonment makes a lot of sense, 95% of crimes are committed by 1% of the population.

Oh and stop and search if your found carrying a knife/ acid 3/ 5 yrs.

Rant over, glad I live in the country side.

I am a police man officer. The level of disrespect and total self centreness has got 10 fold in the past few years.
People think it's their God given right to do as they please, balls to anyone else and why should anyone question them. The government has allowed this behaviour become common place by reducing police numbers, reduce our powers and stop real sentences.
I spent 14 years in the army and 10 years in the police. I was brought up with discipline and to show respect.

Bazzaa.

I think you're all looking back at the past with rose tinted specs to be honest. Are you implying that there was no fighting, no violence, no social unrest years ago? Social unrest and criminality is related to wider issues than 'disciplining kids' - most people are, at their core, decent, respectable people. There will, however, always be a percentage who are either violent, or abusive, or criminal, etc etc - this will not be a problem solved with discipline. British society is becoming increasingly imbalanced with stagnant wages, higher costs of life, less jobs (though employment numbers, manipulated via zero hour contracts and those simply withdrawing from the system) and these factors impact on the quality of the society we live in, as well as the people said society produces. When Brexit happens, and rubbish really hits the fan, be prepared for even more social unrest, and more societal problems.

As for harsher prison sentences and the death penalty? Firstly, all data available suggests that the death penalty does nothing to reduce murder rates, there is simply nor correlation. There are also issues with the death penalty - as an example it is estimated that around 4% of serious convictions are incorrect. The death penalty does not allow for the correct of miscarriages of justice. Some will say 'its cheaper' but again studies have shown that keeping inmates on death row, and going through the legal processes required, actually result in an increase in spending. The only reason the death penalty is popular amongst some is because people want/ enjoy the idea of vengeance and revenge - the legal system cannot and should not be built on those principles.

As for harsher sentences? Sure, but there are two big issues I see. The first is that public spending has been reduced year on year - were is the money coming from to incarcerate people for longer period of time? The second is the crime itself - harsh punishments only work after the fact i. e. after the crime has already occurred. I'm sure most victims would of preferred the crime to have never happened - that should be the focus in my opinion, a preventative attitude towards crime rather than a punitive one. A punitive approach merely stops people who would've never committed the crime in the first place, and does little about the real criminals - a preventative, reformative system aims to tackle the root cause of the crime, stop the crime occurring, and, should a crime occur, work to ensure that recidivism is greatly reduced.

I understand peoples exasperation with society, it exasperates me too, I just think some of these suggestions are overly simplistic and, more importantly, would do little to change the direction society is heading.

I knew we would be praising lallana at some point this season. It isn't the only time he has 0layed well this season too. Glad for him, he has always done what's asked of him. I hope he stays for another year or two.
