They reached this decision by using VAR?

@Mbwell77 - not sure what's going on with the ticketing office but JK finished his presser for tomorrow's game ages ago now.

@JK23 - Robbo will be out until after the international break - according to JK at his presser. Felt a niggle the day after the Napoli game apparently.

@007 - The lines were too close to call but in the end, VAR decided in favour of the attacking team.

Reynard cheers mate.

Online rumour mill going into overdrive that Saturdays fixtures to go ahead and Sundays to be cancelled. What a palaver that will be if true.

{Ed002's Note - I would expect the Sunday Liverpool fixture to be cancelled regardless of the rest.}

I was surprised that indications were the Sunday match would go ahead as it's in Chelsea and preparations for the funeral will be at full steam on Sunday and police will be insufficient in London to manage games. It's already been announced that Arsenal's match with PSV is cancelled due to this complication. I'd say keep a close eye on it as it's changing by the hour.

Why was sport across the board not postponed at the weekend why just the football?

I don’t think the Chelsea game will happen. I reckon Our next prem game will be Brighton at home October 1st.
Tbh we’d lose at the bridge at the moment anyway. We need the regroup.

@Rabh - most other sport doesn't require the level of police presence that football requires. It's not the level in and around the ground but it's the amount of impact on roads and public transport networks as well.
