Lovren out injured, could be up to 2 months

Shame hope he recovers soon.

Is there any truth in Sakho being offered a new contract and if so is he likely to sign?

{Ed002's Note - It was suggested a few weeks ago that he would be as he was unable to find a new club after being told he could leave.}

1.) 17 Sep 2015 13:17:35
He will not sign it if he deson't become a starter

2.) 17 Sep 2015 13:21:43
Deschamps has urged Liverpool to let go of Sakho.

{Ed002's Note - The problem is finding somewhere to go to that will pay what Liverpool will be looking for. As Liverpool need the money, the ideal situation if he could not be sold in January would be a loan to buy deal - still giving the income in this FFP year.}

3.) 17 Sep 2015 17:12:59
If he is not a regular by January, I expect Sakho to try and push for a move, but if he becomes a regular before that I suspect LFC will try an push him to sign a new deal.

I think everything that needs saying about the weekends result as been said and we need to move on. A question to the Eds and fans on here, What is required to return us to the exciting football we played in 2013/14, I know Rodgers gets a bashing but we played brilliant football under him during that season

{Ed002's Note - Andy - One of the problems is that since then Livrpool has changed the first team squad adding (and my have forgotten a few) Firmino, Milner, Benteke, Bogdan, Clyne, Gomez, Ings, Lovren, Lallana, Moreno, Can and Origi - plus of course Markovic, Balotelli, Lambert and Manquillo. The downside of making such extensive changes (twice) is having them settle and not being able to go back to doing what was done before.}

1.) 14 Sep 2015 15:47:53
Thanks for the reply Ed, maybe I'm just dreaming of those days to return

2.) 14 Sep 2015 18:20:48
Whats needed to return to that kind of football is Suarez.
He epitomised everything good about an exciting team.

I agree Rodgers looks out of his depth and his tactics and player positioning for games makes no sense but what I find more alarming for the club is how quickly players heads drop when the goings tough and the lack of fight for the manager or more importantly, the fans

1.) 13 Sep 2015 12:19:30
They look over and see someone clueless and stunned. They look around and know they have no one to turn it around under the tactics discussed. At that point you drop your head. Who on the pitch yesterday has a voice to pick them up? Milner, Lucas both quiet and Skrtel is the next senior and longest serving on the pitch for us, he looks the most clueless as times.

Should never had happened, down to manager

2.) 13 Sep 2015 12:32:29
I think that we played really poor no passion no bite no pressing no plan except play for a draw however maybe I'm a glass half full guy Henderson coutinho Sturridge will improve us a lot , Rogers is our manager for now and if he can't get us going then someone else will have a decent squad to work with imo not a top four squad I have to admit but plenty of talent , for now I'm supporting Rogers as he is the man in charge but I do understand why people here want him gone , support your club is what I say and lastly what a goal by benteke.

3.) 13 Sep 2015 12:41:43
I thought we started playing well only when we went behind, didn't see heads drop at all.

4.) 13 Sep 2015 13:07:00
It's easy to play well when you're down because at that point, you have nothing more to lose because if you don't throw caution to the wind, you'll still lose so might as well go for it because there's no alternative. That is just sports in general so nothing to see there. You get out of the traps fast and put them under pressure from the word go because that is what Spurs and Swansea did to them. Everton did it to Chelsea too. Why didn't we do that?cos BR is clueless that's why.

Sakho is eager to get stuck in and fight in defence but his passing and decision making is poor and he runs like a spider with missing legs.

A downgrade lol. Liverpool one of the biggest clubs in the world, Dortmund, who were in a champions league final once.

I would settle just for a team with an identity again and players playing in their respective positions. From small acorns,mighty oaks grow

Seriously, enough with the Rodgers bashing, it didn't work out, he's been sacked, we've got klopp, move on.

I think most of the fans on here have the intelligence to understand things won't change overnight.

Liverpool have played some of the most exciting and most dire football under Rodgers. It's sad when anyone in any walk of life loses their job but this is Liverpool Football Club and we should be dining like Kings not waiting for scraps like dogs under the table.

A guy who walks out on his team when the going gets tough, so a quitter is your definition of light at the end of the tunnel
