According to City sources, Liverpool will make a counter offer on Man City's bid for Sterling. Liverpool want Jovetic plus 10 million for Sterling.Jovetic is one of Rodgers favorite players and he is convinced he is world class, but he has not been given the opportunity to show this at city, either because he was injured, or was out of favor.

Given Jovetic's injury history, I wouldn't think this will be plausible.
We already have 1 player who's injured often in Sturridge, so why bring in another striker, who is likely to get injured?
If we were to sell Balotelli and Lambert, I'd probably try and get Dzeko off of City if anyone. We could offer him game time, he scores goals and could add a hell of a lot more than what Mario and Ricky have.
Whether it is a viable option or not is anyones guess, perhaps the Eds could shed some light?

According to newspapers in Holland, Liverpool will make early bids for Memphis Depay and Daryl Janmaat, in order to seal the deal before Man United steps in. Both players would cost a combined fee of under 35 million.
