Afternoon Eds, I know a few years ago there was talk of us looking at Defour (not sure if this was true). Do you know if Rodgers has any interest in him? Just wondered as Fulham have been linked and if £5m is accurate that seems fairly reasonable to help our midfield.

I know this is from the Mirror (and we all know how reliable that is) but in fairness, I did read the rumour on the BBC gossip page about Kevin Mendez, and I wondered if you knew if there was any truth to this rumour? He does look class on YouTube (again I know that this doesn't always mean that they are as good as they look).

Hi Eds, could you see Liverpool going in for David Brooks? I know he has had his injuries but he clearly has a lot of talent and would be fairly cheap following relegation and HG too.

Hi Eds,

I just wondered if there were any updates on Skrtel signing a new contract? Personally I would be happy if we sold him but I remember reading somewhere that he was going to sign a new three year deal on Monday but haven't seen any sign of that.
