Ed001 does it pain you to see utd fluke their way too another win or are you confident we will beat them to top 4?

CraigRobinson

{Ed001's Note - it pains me anyway, even though I am confident of finishing above them.}

Their football is just dire to watch. It was buring my eyes.

All I know after watching Man United jam their way to the win at Geordieland, is that Tim Krul would be a fantastic replacement for De Gea, when he makes his move to Real Madrid in a couple of seasons or sooner.

Van Gaal probably thought something similar just before the final whistle tonight. ;D

Their luck is going to run out and we`re the ones who are going to get it done.

Agree with Ollieston3. De Gea will not hang around for too long. Even if he signs a new contract, Real will come next year and snap him up. Krul is good, but no where as good as De Gea. The mancs will realize that soon enough. The football the are playing is dire and painful to watch, even the relegation threatened teams (including our dear neighbors) are playing better football. Hopefully, Man Utd's luck runs around and Brendan and Co capitalize on it.

Ed001

It does my head in when sterling plays as a striker, is it just me who thinks he's useless at it?
Can't hold it up, constantly loses it, doesn't time his runs well & panics in front of goal, not to mention poor finishing half the time he does get a shot away.

Why not just play balotelli when wanting to rest Sturridge, at least he's good with his back to the defenders & isn't afraid to shoot

CraigRobinson

{Ed001's Note - Sterling tormented Kompany, Balotelli offers no forward runs at all. I don't see the issue with Raheem playing there as things stand, until Sturridge is ready to play every week.}

All the front three played well today.

2.) 01 Mar 2015 16:23:07
I'd like to see Ibe played through the middle with Sturridge and Sterling either side of him

3.) 01 Mar 2015 17:12:18
Sturridge is the man for the middle.

4.) 01 Mar 2015 17:40:26
Ibe played through the middle? Are you having a laugh, he's a 17 year old kid, who you want to put all the pressure on to get us goals? Talk about burning a kid out before he even starts I think with the squad we now have Brendan should only give him 3 or 4 more games this season

5.) 01 Mar 2015 18:05:17
Ibe is not 17

6.) 01 Mar 2015 18:40:12
I don't think playing Ibe through the middle is going to burn him out at all. The reason I'd like to see him play there is because of his direct running, having him bulldozing his way toward you with the trickery of Sterling and Sturridge either side would be amazing! Also with Coutinho just behind to thread through would destroy a lot of defences.

Also ibe is 19 and do you think playing him through the middle is going to burn him out more than running up and down the wing all game?

7.) 01 Mar 2015 20:12:53
Sterling had two assists today. not bad if you ask me

8.) 01 Mar 2015 22:49:45
Kompany and Mangala ould be happy to see the back of Sterling with the way he ran them rragged, IMO. However, I will say that his decision-making in the final third needs some work and provided he is willing to learn, that will come with time.
