Hi all,

LFC ready to pay the money Monaco wants for Akliouche.

PSG has agreed personal terms with the player. He wants to play for PSG.

Monaco ready to accept LFC bid as it aligns with what they want in terms of money but PSG will probably improve their offer. Deal probably linked with negotiations tactics around Barcola.

They need to sell for at least another 100M€ after Bamba, Henrique and Ouattara sales. AS Monaco also needs to decrease player wages by 20% with Pogba, Dier, Golovin, ready to leave.

I don't see what Akliouche provides that Harvey Elliot does not, and Elliot is homegrown.

We need to focus on the profiles of our forwards imo, not their position.

He is available for around 40-50M EUR, but the player changed agents and that complicated the negotiations with Newcastle. That's why they moved for Bamba. Several PL clubs are monitoring him, definitely one to watch, but I'm not sure we will move for him.

That would be a pretty bad negotiation tactic - making sure PSG pay more for their target before they sell Barcola. They would just pass the cost on to us. The only winners in that situation would be Monaco.

Yeah, would be foolish to put a pincer on PSG, when they are already annoyed at the Diomande situation. I get the impression that PSG and Liverpool have had a pretty good relationship of late with Ward and Edwards visiting their academy.

Sounds to me like we show interest in PSG target but then agree to leave the player to PSG as a bargaining tool to get a good deal for Barcola.
Good idea, shame they don't put similar thinking to move on Gomez when hes next fit.

Regardless, Alikouche will not be joining us and it has no relevance to the Barcola deal, considering they play in different positions.

Not to mention we wouldn't just submit a bid or feign interest in a player to get another club to drop their asking price.

I know exactly how to read, mate, hence why I said what I did.

My sources are solid and say the opposite, plus I was pointing out actual factual stuff. We won't feign or make an offer for a player to get another club to reduce a price they want for another player, and he will not be joining us.



I don't predict. I pass on information I get from multiple sources across Europe, including the club. Which has been pretty darn accurate up to this point, but not everything is always correct, as things do and will change.

With all respect, I find it hard to believe that we're going to stump up for this not very fast or productive player. His stats are not very exciting, about 15 goal involvements in consecutive seasons, in a league with some truly awful defending. If you tell me we're asking Monaco about Camara, I'd be happy to swim back to Liverpool with him on my back!
