Hi Eds,
Two tactical/ formation roles I found interesting last season were TAA playing a dual RB/ Midfield and Citie's Stones playing dual CB/ Midfield. I think, from previous readings on this site, Eds have said to not be too fixated on formations but. as one of our world-class players is TAA, would a change to 3-4-3 with a CB that can do the Stone's role bring out the best in our team? Also, we've never, under Klopp, used a Makélélé type of holding-midfielder, at least I don't think Fabinho is that and Thuram also isn't that (Ugarte was more of that role) and with our interest in left-footed CB Micky Van De Ven, are we edging that way? Sorry if I haven't got my teeth in, tricky question to put into words what I'm trying to say, but hope you get my drift? I guess this also asks what's Tsimikas's future, coz if we are in for Micky, as are Spurs (according to papers), who'd possibly give him more game time, unless we used him as Robbo's back-up until he moves to CB. I hope this makes sense. Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool are one of the clubs interested in Micky Van De Ven - but as a CB.}

As things stand,

Tottenham have more concrete interest in Van De Ven than Liverpool at the moment.
In fact, there are a few unconfirmed rumblings of movement on a different Centre half than VDV.

Ed may know.

How do you measure ‘concrete interest’ and who is doing the measuring.

Concrete interest is certainly stronger than cement interest, but still significantly weaker than steel interest.

WDW3, you see, measuring "concrete interest" is a complex process involving an intricate system of highly trained ants armed with tiny tape measures. These industrious little creatures scuttle around, carefully measuring the level of excitement and curiosity emanating from each individual. They even have a secret ant council that convenes to determine the exact units of "interest" to assign to each person. It's a top-secret operation, known only to the most dedicated entomologists and a handful of mischievous squirrels who occasionally disrupt their work. So, the next time you feel concrete interest, just remember, it's all in the tiny paws of those measurement-savvy ants!
