Whilst I am on the side of wanting an attacker to join. It seems some posters haven't thought it through about spending money.

If we signed Fernandes (for example) for 60mill and he doesn't settle straight away or feels he's not suited to our football then he was a waste of money.

If we signed pepe for 60mill and he is eased into the team but doesn't like that and causes friction for other players and has his African friends on his side (mane, keita) then we have wasted money and disrupted our squad.

Both of those scenarios can and do happen which would leave us relying on. you guessed it the kids to play.

If klopp doesn't buy it may be for value reasons. Adaptability, maturity, able to fit into the squad.

You can't just see a top player and think easy decision.

Any player we buy has to be worth the money. Able to play our style, able to play other positions. Understanding of how we ease them in. Maturity to help the team when not playing. And of a good quality. That is a lot to look for in 1 player so we are bound to be in a very niche market.

Let's look at who's been signed or potentially signing for our rivals. Would you swap Pepe/ Mane, Rodri/ Fabinho, ndombele/ Wijnaldum, Dybala/ Bobby, Pulsic/ Salah, Maguire/ Gomez, Wanbisaka/ Trent. Honestly there's not many if ANY I'd swap for ours mate.

halflot, no, it was Fabinho that we eased in slowly. Keita started the first game and started quite well before getting injured.
