Really disappointing performance last night but we need to make sure we don't overreact to it. Yeah this season has been massively disappointing but equally it was always going to be hard to predict how such a strange season would pan out, we obviously sometimes have relied on fans and the buzz feeling that Klopp has created around the place to get us through tough games, plus we have had horrendous luck with injuries. If someone said virg and joe would miss the season, matip the majority given his little injuries now this, as well as decent spells out for ox, Keita, Shaq, jota, Trent and minor ones or C.V. for most other players in the squad at one time or another everyone would have expected us to struggle.
My question for the Eds is, we all knew over the next few years we need to start replacing players in the squad and transforming the squad. Do you think with the way the season has gone and maybe losing a bit of drive as well as a lack of money to spend this summer that there is any chance Klopp could walk away if he doesn't think he will have the money to rebuild the team?

{Ed001's Note - he has a contract, Klopp has not walked out on a contract before.}

We can't keep blaming injuries its boring and whingey, our team performances have been poor all season, one of our worst performances was Midtylland at home earlier in the season when we had a fit squad, we look like we're on the slide.

Why didn’t you post this after the Spurs, west ham games!

Why shouldn't we blame injuries @Mightyreds? It's a statement of fact.

It's no secret that our wider squad is weak. With so many first team players out, getting good results is always going to be tougher.

We were top of the League until the start of Jan. Says a lot about the rest of the League if we have been poor all season.

Unlike most of the fair weather internet fans, Klopp is a rational human being who can see that this season is an extraordinary one and that the team are physically and mentally destroyed from the piling up of BS that has befallen us this season. Firmino and Wijnaldum are the only first teamers whose places are under threat and one of them is leaving in the summer for certain anyway. We have a few injury prone and ineffective squad players not pulling their weight either but other than that its a great squad, just one that has been battered by unfortunate external circumstances out of our control.

The view that 'we can't keep pointing to a situation that is still ongoing and we can't do much more about' as an explanation to what we are seeing, even when it really explains the majority of it, is. Well bizarre really. Makes no sense. Doesn't matter if our injuries were last week or last year, if those players are all missing and new ones haven't bedded in yet then it's still the same problem having the same effect?
