We have several tough matches coming up and it is time that Klopp showed a bit of courage. Picking Wijnaldum and Milner in midfield is madness. Having signed two CBSs he should use at least one of them and put Henderson and Fabinho back in their rightful positions with Thiago alongside them. Klopp must have expected (like all of us) that the team would dominate against Brighton and it was an ideal time to bring in Davies and Jones but for some reason he ignored the Jones cameo against West Ham and brought him on far too late on Thursday. His use of subs is probably the worst in the Premier League and the persistence with Origi is unbelievable beyond words.

You do realise the 2 cbs only signed late on Monday so there is no way they could of been involved in Wednesday's game. And the fact that we have a stable back 4 for the first time for a while.

I doubt you will see them against city either as it would be a big game to drop them into. Maybe one of them if they have fitted in well in training.

Though I do completely agree with you on the subject of Origi, he has lost his way and if we are going to stick with him then he needs game time. Else sorry he may have to look elsewhere for a game.

Further to Ed002's comment, Davies was an unused sub for the game.

I personally would play Davies and Phillips, with Hendo and/ or Fab (if available) in midfield with Thiago.

Nice idea 6times and hopefully in a month that will be the partnership. I can't see Klopp going for it agains't City though. Personally not sure Thiago deserves his place atm, very difficult to pick the team as they nearly all looked to be struggling on Wednesday. I just pray Mane and Fabs will be fit.

Good shout 6Times. Phillips has done nothing to warrant being left out. Kabak and Phillips at the back for me, with Fab and Hendo back in midfield.

Kabak has the speed to make up for Phillips lack of it, Henderson can hunt things down in midfield, Fabinho can screen the defence and Thiago can do the pretty stuff on the ball.

Thiago is our best midfielder and best passer off the ball in advanced areas. Has to play and more than deserves his place.
