I can't wait for this season to be over just hope we some how manage to make top 4.
We have loads of deadwood in the squad that we need to move on this summer. with Adrian and Wijnaldum leaving on free transfers I think the club needs not to price players out of moves Tsimikas, Keita, Shaqiri, Woodburn, Origi, Grujic, Minamino, Karius, Ojo, Wilson and Awoniyi all need to be moved on. I think Grabara should be kept at the club to replace Adrian in the squad a new central defender and left back a defensive Midfielder to compete with Fabinho is a must and a Midfielder and a striker. so with money issues the club needs to buy smart this season Konate and Bissouma look like are top targets for cb and midfield and if the reported £17.3m clause in Patson Daka contract is true we should go full on for him. I would like Sander Berge of sheff utd to am sure he will have some relegations clause in his contract so we might get a bargain there too.

We are desperate for at least one full back. Robbo ran games before Christmas now he is burnt out.

{Ed002's Note - Someone like Tsimikas?}

If vvd and gomez get fit i don't think we most necessarily need konate considering we still have phillips and kabak (if we buy him) . If hendo overcomes his injury and with jones being more part of the team i don't think we need bissouma either.
I only think we need to replace whoever of the front three that leaves which we hace in a way by jota and elliot.
We should keep our budget in check for a couple of years.
There are also too many players we need to sell first to recover the losses.
and then sign a striker. Some who won't cost much to bring in might take a bit of salary. Someone on the older side that can give us a solid two years. 10-15 goals.
I know there are few out there atm like suarez and aguero but don't think that's happening. Dries mertens or kramaric maybe.

Grino you’re going to upset people mentioning the word “Deadwood”. The best fans in the world don’t like that word 🙄.

{Ed001's Note - it is just disrespectful to call people that.}

Sorry but I totally disagree that we rely on existing midfield players coming back from injury etc. Whilst I don’t think defence will be an issue with vvd and gomez to come back, our midfield on the other hand needs some freshening up. We rely on our forwards to much to score goals and other than Salah, mane and firmino can’t score to save their lives and salah scores 1 in every 10 chances he gets. All the top teams have goalscoring or creative midfielders, Chelsea, Leicester, Utd, city. yet we dont. It’s the over reliance on our forwards that has brought us to this position where when the forwards aren’t performing, we aren’t finishing games off because our ability to score goals has been limited by just relying on our front three.
With Gini going, it doesn’t really impact us in terms of attacking prowess because whilst he has scored some important goals, he doesn’t score that often and is very hit and miss in games. Curtis Jones I don’t believe is quite good enough yet, again he shows glimpses but he’s no game changer. Henderson needs to play as when he is not the pitch, we look like a different team. Personally, Thiago, Fabinho and Henderson is solid midfield but where are the goals coming from? Plus Henderson is also fairly prone to injuries too. So I think we need to bring in a goal scoring and/ or creative midfielder, as well as an out and out striker, who will bang in goals, especially with the number of chances we create, as we also rely too much on our full backs to create the chances. If that means selling players to fund these purchases, so be it, I would happily sell mane, firmino, and some of the fringe players to fund the buying of new players.

These players are Human beings, deadwood is such a gaming word.

The reality is this summer will change some of these players for life! The sad reality of some of them not going to make it at Liverpool e. g Woodburn is tough especially for someone that young in the grand scheme of things.

They have to grow up so fast, I wish every player the best of futures whoever leaves.

Noucl, i totslly agree. We have struggled for a while in getting any kind of goal returns from our midfield.

Jones scored sone when he first came into the team but was played further forward. We rely to much on our front 3 for goals.

I wonder how many times any player from midfield got past 7/ 8 goals for the season.

A lot has been written about the lack of goals and the injuries for the defenders, but midfield is where i think most of our problems are.
