Ed002 if you're available. Much has been discussed about the lack of funds for transfers at Liverpool. We know that Klopp has a couple on his wish list and that there may be a transfer in, depending on sales this week. Can I ask, is it all about the transfer fee and upfront cash, or is the longer term 'saving' going to influence whether we can bring someone in? What I mean is, if a player is sold for a small fee, but the departure removes a 50 grand plus a week wage bill, will that be a consideration? Especially if it is a cumulative effect where a few players are sold? Not a clue with the business side of the house, so would be interested to know. Appreciate that the Konate fee and his wages probably surpass sales and wages recouped so far. Personally happy with the squad and that it would likely give Jones, Elliott and a couple more youngsters valuable game time and experience.
Thanks for all the info. You and all the Ed's are very much appreciated. even Ed25!

{Ed002's Note - The attraction of Sanches was that his club were willing to accept terms for the payments - at a higher price of course - the same with Saul. Wages should balance each other out and that is why Saul is concerning clubs - huge wage demands. Last season Wolves allowed terms on Jota who was third choice for Liverpool but has worked out very well.}

Now there are 'rumours' on Saul going to Chelsea on loan! There will be absolute meltdown if that happens! :)

Thanks Ed02. With regard to Saul, is it a J Barnett influenced issue with the wages, or is the player himself just after a massive pay packet? Is it an issue in the game at top level where a player isn’t necessarily allowed to sign for a team he wants to play for? Not saying Saul wants us, but in general?

{Ed002's Note - That I really don't know. He will not want to leave for less money otherwise he would go to his preferred destination.}

ED002 - you big tease, you can’t leave us hanging like that…. Where is Sauls preferred destination? Barcelona I presume?

Regards,

KR65.

{Ed002's Note - Yes, Barcelona. But they need wages off the book first.}

Could you say who his preferred choice is please ed002.

{Ed002's Note - It is Barcelona but they cannot do anything until more wages are freed up.}

Sounds like Saul is a greedy boy! Lol. Wages are crazy for these guys now. But if you can get it why not I suppose.

Do you think he deserve that kind of money ed? he is a very good player but that kind of money is usually paid for top2 player and for attackers. is there any midfield players that is being paid in the same wage range as saul?

{Ed002's Note - Kevin De Bruyne.}
