So huge game at the weekend against Chelsea. I can see it being a fire cracker of a game . After seeing thier display against Arsenal, all be it a weak Arsenal who struggle to defend, I think stopping the supply to Lukaku is the key.

Stopping Lukaku himself may be to much of an ask for 90 minutes even for VvD and Matip who I think are superb together. But stopping those balls to feet may be the way to do it. Sit whoever is in that holding role in front of him and say stop the ball rather than stop him .

Preferably that player is Fabhino but of course he has bigger things than football to contend with so rightly he may be away for some time. Early test for both teams but I feel we can get a good result in that game at the weekend as long as we control the balls in to Chelsea's front men. We will score for sure, I think at least twice.

I think our centre halves train against better forwards than Lukaku day in, day out.

He’s a threat but we will cope. I’m confident of a win for us by a couple of goals either 2 - 0 or 3 - 1.

Its not his quality as such WDW. Its his sheer size, pace and power and how he bounces balls off himself to make chances for others. You can't train against that in the week if you don't have anyone like him to train against. But you can train to stop balls getting to his feet. I feel that will be key.

If Lukaku was that great where was he in champions league mate🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 also salahs scoring at a much higher rate. won't their fans be worried about facing him too? also jota seems to score at a higher frequency. and tsimi seems a steal! and ali seems to make a world class save every single game. Trent's crossing is way way better than most of the guys in world. hendos fit so now players will not be sleeping in game. nobby is still there for the taking though . that's worrying. but fab will be present too. maybe last slot is thiagos? or Elliot's . fab hendo and Thiago could be great. but that being said kloppo is best in world🤓🤓🤓let's get behind d reds! besides it will be first time Anfield gets to play against top 6 since fans are allowed. let's c. hopefully it will be a good game with us winning!

Liverbird31, I said absolutley nothing about not getting behind my team. And I know how good our lads are. But I also can see a monster of a player when I see one who with his back to goal and the ball at his feet will be unplayable if he's allowed that time and space. The two things are totally irrelevant. And saying where was he in a competition played last season is again irrelevant. He will cause chaos if we do not shut down the supply to him. But what do I know. I will go back and put the blinkers on and not see how dangerous one of the biggest, most physical and aggressive attackers in the world can be up against CBs who have not yet returned to full fitness.

The only worry I have against Chelsea is Fabinho, his needed in big games he really does make a difference aerially, on our build up, reads the game really well nd his the only midfielder who is a nutural defender.

Good player lukaku. always has been. But it's hardly the first time we've faced him is it. Be a good game. brilliant for the fans. They will be more worried about salah and mane bobby and diogo.
