Virgil looked terrible the last few games. Worrying form. Fingers crossed we get his replacement in sooner rather than later. Maybe the break will do him good. Played a lot of footy this year.

OP, that's not true. VVD had a crap season for sure but in the last 4 games, he upped his game. Two things can be correct at the same time.

I was talking of his last few games for the Netherlands not Liverpool. But his overall season hasn't been great. The injury has definitely hampered his mentality I think. My point being is it's time to start the transition to somebody else. We spent £70+ mill on him so why not spend the same again on a replacement for the future. We should be getting Gavrdiol - I know we aren't but that's the level we need to target to compete again.
