A genuine question. How did Endo do yesterday I totally lost track of the game and forgot to keep an eye on him?

just reading through other posts, it seems that the perception varies fan to fan. I think he did ok but that he does look behind the pace of the game. I am sure this is part of being new to the league.

I thought he did okay, he was neat and tidy in possession and worked tirelessly. The problem was he was completely overrun by quicker and more aggressive players. He like the rest of the team struggled to cope with their intensity. Great result in the end, but some athleticism, pace and aggression is sorely missing in that DM role. I think Endo will do fine however in games when we’re on the front foot.

A solid 6/ 10 for me. Done mostly what he was there to do. Don't recall anything really exciting or too poor from him.

Agree with frode but not just an endo issue was a whole midfield issue.

I think if teams are happy to actually think they can dominate the game and have a high line against us I think we should allow and go back to pure counter attacking football.

This originally was where we had success before everyone played a low block and we struggled to break it down and had to switch style. I don't know why we have to adapt basically the same style every game. A team with a high line would be destroyed by Diaz Nunez and Salah on the counter. Then at home to a lower side we can play a posession dominant side with more creativity probably gakpo in for Nunez etc.

Even he himself admitted after the game that he could do much better. But let's keep the context where a new player has come into the team for a key positiion and has to play the game undermanned (only 10 players) . I would say he's done okay, and I'd like him to improve and do much better. He needs to come to grips with the physicality of the English game, which will take some time.

Klopp has been quoted as saying "Endo has no idea how we play", after the game. I don't know what he meant by that or if something got lost in translation. But at a surface level it doesn't show any confidence in your player nor giving him any.

I agree. Tried hard, looked ok. The opposition went past him too easily and he was caught in the wrong position a few times. Can’t fault his effort but he is no Bajcetic. I still hope another midfielder and Cb are recruited.

I think 6 out of 10 is generous but Newcastle away, I was surprised he started if I’m honest.

Endo did no harm which in his position, is the first thing you want to accomplish.
