Well, what a game that was! an excellent performance and in my eyes it was clear we were up from it from the very beginning. This is a title winning side, I truly believe we're going to go on and win the league. City can never be written off and neither can Arsenal but I don't see them being consistant enough. Who knows maybe we won't be? but I believe we will.

I have no doubts in my mind we will lift atleast one trophy this season. If we keep playing like we did tonight then I think we're going to absolutely smash it.

Salah and Endo are going to be missed but one thing I love about this team is we don't have to rely on 1-2 players because we have a team full of quality. Endo has really suprirsed me, he was one of those signings I thought wouldn't work, I think plenty of us doubted his abilities but how well has he settled? he's doing really well, fair play to the lad.

My only concerns are Nunez and Gravenberch for obvious reasons. Gravenberch hasn't clicked with us (yet? ) and Nunez can't find the back of the net. It's going to be interesting with these two, especially Nunez because I believe he can be something special, he just has to take his chances better. Fingers crossed for them both.

A great start to the year and long may it continue!
Bring on Arsenal.

I do wonder if Nunez will thrive a little over the next few games without Salah. When the team are playing in and around the oppositions box, he’s always looking for Mo and passes when a shot is on. Here’s hoping.

JanMolbyviatheCentreCircle, my point exactly, mate. For me, this is an opportunity for all the forwards (not just Darwin) to come out of their shells and take responsibility in games and not always having to defer to Salah near every time as like it or not, it kills the flow of our attack at times. Will they take that opportunity? We shall see.

I don't dislike Nunez or Grav like many on here have shown.

Nunez isn't scoring goals, and that will certainly be an issue for the fans. That said, he causes chaos for defenses. He has a lot of natural gifts and teams having to worry about all the spots he turns up means they are focusing less on other players like Salah. I don't mind if Nunez becomes a super sub like he was at the beginning of the season, but he works hard and appears to be a good teammate. He an Salah seem to work well together.

Grav is different, but I don't see why so many want to give up on him. He's young and learning. He has good pace, covers a lot of ground, and is often quite good with the ball at his feet. There's talent and that talent needs to be developed.

Ultimately, Liverpool are top of the table half way through the season. I don't think any of us expected that. I certainly didn't.

We get even better with Nunez/ Diaz scoring and Grav more settled.
