Eds have we shown any interest in Renato Sanches of Bayern? He is for sale i think at only 19 and playing at a position that is a priority.

Surprises me slightly, he was the golden boy last year and from the clips I've seen I've been impressed. He'd add energy, ability and a physical presence. I once saw him send Hulk flying vs zenit!

Thanks for the swift reply Ed001.Hope if Keita doesn't materialise this guy will be our chosen one. From what i have seen of him he is a beast and i am surprised that Carlo doesn't rate him.

I suspect he wouldn't command a large fee and I thought he was more of a winger? Physically a beast but does he have the brain and attitude to go with it or is he a Balotelli in the making?

Apparently (but only according to gutter press) Bayern are willing to make a loss on him and sell for €35m, having bought in Tolliso and Rudy who play in the same position (according to SSN) .

Question for the Eds, does he have off field/ attitude problems a la Balotelli, or has his poor form in the last 12 months been purely down to the ups and downs a very young player at a big team faces?

Lets not forget that Origi was in the worst 11 in France in the season before he came to us, and he has been very good this year, so we need to have patience with young players.

If there aren't any other issues, in this market I think £30m would be a steal, especially if Klopp can help him get his confidence back.

He is only 19 and he looked extremely promising so at 35 why not? I think he will be proven much better than the majority of our targets for that position and also if he doesn't make an impact we can still sell him at a decent price due to his age.

Their original asking price was around €35mio and they have lowered it to €28mio but still no real interest from other clubs.

As i have read today bayern won't sell him but will loan him out. Höhnes said that they want to build a squad around 22-24 year old players.

Hadn't even considered him but would certainly be value for money at the represented price and come on he's 19 he's allowed have poor spells but he still showed glimpses of brilliance at the u21 when on the pitch.
