Hi eds,

I am new to the site so please forgive me if you have heard this question a thousand times this week already.

Liverpool seem to play it cautiously and unlike Chelsea, for example, won't splurge out on ridiculous valuations to land their target. They have a figure they don't want to exceed and won't budge. The issue is, with regards Teixeria, neither will Shaktar.

So in all seriousness, in terms of Teixeira, why drag this out anYmore I am all but convinced he won't join in January and knowing our luck will be poached in the summer for an over inflated price tag by another club.

This does however show Liverpools intent to spend reasonably big on a striker/ ATTACKING OPTION, so who else is out there that a. wants to leave their club b. their club may release them c. that would actually have any impact at this stage of the season? Also what does this say about Sturridge, Ings, Origi in the proposed pecking order?

AK.

{Ed001's Note - there are very few options available of any quality, which is why we went for Teixeira. It simply says that Sturridge, Ings and Origi are injured.}

"We went for"

Sounds a bit final mate lol.

haha, you did know that they're injured didn't you AK?
Besides, they're strikers, Teixeira is not. We seem to have decided against signing a striker because Southampton turned us down for Long and Firmino is beginning to show he can spearhead the attack for us.

If you're wondering who we might turn to if and when the Teixeira deal is dead, take a look at Dennis Praet.
Young and unproven outside of Belgium, but Klopp is a fan.
He's a bit like Christian Eriksen a couple of years ago.

Personally, I'm still holding out hope for a miracle that will grant Teixeira's wish. He is more likely to make an immediate impact imo.

Play it cautiously? I feel that is a bit hit or miss if that isn't sarcasm? Is cautious 35 for Carroll or 25 for lallana, as well as big sums for benteke firmino and markovic?

Plus Chelsea haven't made anywhere near as costly mistakes in the transfer market as us in the last few years,
