Evening Lads, watched the game today, think we looked tired.

Didnt really play to Origi's strengths and kept the ball rather than playing it into him.

Ibe looked very good.

It pains me to say as I want him to come good but Lovren was very very poor today again and caused the first goal, as well as making numerous mistakes during the match.

Would personally say Skrtel caused the first goal given he let his runner go without tracking him, leaving Lovren all alone to defend two by himself. That said, Lovren also made a hash of it.

Lovren had only one job to do and he was the closest to the striker. The striker bullied Lovren like a kinder garden and scored a goal. Don't be biased just because you don't like skrtel.

EG- did you completely miss the part where Skrtel didn't track his man at all? Lovren had the other guy and had to come across for Skrtel as he was either too tired or slow to mark. Yes, Lovren should have done better, I said as much already, but for Skrtel to allow it in the first place was the initial issue.

Diagonal ball, skrtel couldn't run with his marker, Lovren couldn't bear his marker and he scored one.

I would never have said Mario & Raheem were mates from how things looked when they were on the pitch together! Mario absolutely lost it with Raheem every time the pass didn't go to within 1cm of his big toe!

Sterling completely disrespected the club and engineered a move away in some of the most acrimonious circumstances imaginable - not sure current playing staff, as the move is barely a week old, should be offering encouragement. Nothing about freedom of speech - It just doesn't send out a good message. Then again it is Balotelli, when does he ever do anything but prove he is the ultimate liability?

Actually I'd say it's a veiled dig at the fans personally and not what's required from a Liverpool player.

Meh. Our players talk/tweet/facebook/etc about Suarez all the time and he helped get Kenny sacked, bit a couple of players, was deemed to have racially abused another, flirted with Juventus, called the manager a liar, and tried to push through a move to Arsenal including threatening lawsuits yet no one complains about that.

your bitterness towards Suarez is mouth watering mate. He has gone for good, we received a big money and wasted down the toilet, He went to Barca and won the treble and history remembers the winners.

Ironically what the team miss today is a player as good as him which isn't available for any money.

The ''best answer'' is the bit that has to be taken out of it. What is it the best answer to. The only thing it really insinuates is the criticism he received from the fans or something more toward the manager and Sterling. Either way it poorly worded and wasn't necessary. He could just have written''well done sterling keep it up'' show encouragement,but the best answer part is clearly something more to me.
RDL those 2 scenarios aren't even remotely related.

I have no bitterness about Suarez, so not due what you're on about. Good player, yes, but like Balotelli is a knob, just in a different way.

Not sure why Suarez gets so much support on here, TBH. We were only ever a stepping stone for him and he had about as much loyalty to the club as Sterling.

Loyalty should be equally from both the sides, players and club. Loyalty comes with a price, the price of winning trophies.
No on supports Suarez but the fact we haven't moved an inch forward since he left us.

At times we look like better version of Everton. Selling players because they don't think we are trophy material.

Hope you are well. Looking forward to the next season. Although I am unconvinced by Rodgers, he is being given the opportunity to argue his case for being retained.

I was wondering what your opinions are on Kovacic? I have seen him play a few times but cannot comment properly.

Also, what striker do you rate and what striker would you like to see arrive?

{Ed001's Note - from what I have seen and heard off scouts etc, Kovacic is a very good player. The only problem is he is very similar to what we already have, while better than most, it still seems pointless when we need bite in midfield, some steel, not more silk.

I have not really seen any strikers I would go all out for, probably Higuain, out of those within reach.}

I rate kovacic very highly. For me if we are keeping Lucas then him hendo and Kovacic will be perfect for me with can as backup. I think coutinho should be pushed further forward rather than him in a midfield role. He is also a good tackler and has a decent build sort of Gerrard esque. Quite similar to Gerrard in some aspects but his shooting needs to improve. People who dish his goal return that's low because of he was being forced by mancini to play in a much deeper role. For me he is a traditional central midfielder with a dash of creativity.Would be very happy if we signed him. But signing both hin and milner would be excess unless Lucas were to leave
