Hi guys don't post too regularly but thought I would just get some opinions from you guys on what the summer holds for our beloved LFC. I read various websites etc online and as much Liverpool related news as I can, as I'm sure many of you guys do also. It seems to me that this is the only site with the majority vote going against brendan. Most other media I read seem to think brendan is perfectly safe and even doing a great job. I feel that if he does get the boot it would be a major talking point in the media, great young coach, not given time etc etc etc. I was reading another LFC website yesterday with a poll on replacing Rodgers with klopp, the vote was a dead even 50-50 and nearly all the comments were about why brendan deserves more time, young team, attacking football blah blah blah. Not that it will happen but klopp for me would be a no brainer, huge upgrade on Rodgers. So really my question is why does everything else I read seem to point to brendan being around for a long time to come, and only on this site does it seem he's a dead man walking. Do we see his failings more so than the rest of the media or am I missing something as to why he's job is so safe. I also feel that maybe apart from klopp, the lack of a better option could be the only thing keeping brendan safe.

I think we should go hell for leather after Klopp. Offer him everything, our first born sons, blood sacrifices. I'll fast for 90 days and give him bottles of my tears if he wants oh and appoint a DoF.

Also a striker, keeper and focus on bringing through Teixera when he is fit, Rossiter, Ojo, Sinclair, Ilori, Wisdom if we can. Give them chances to prove they are good enough. I'm sure any new manager would wish to bring in one or two players so if Kloop/De Boer were to come in we might see more additions.

I'm sure there will be plenty of outgoings also.

If you want youth to be given a chance like FSG say then Klopp is THE guy. He might not come BUT IMO, the owners owe it to the club to try and do all they can to get him. If we fail? Good, at least we tried.

I think the main difference between people here and in the media is that people here see LFC as a natural contender for a title and at least for a top 4 every year and surely after last year, while people in the media think that in term of money invested (not just last year but every year), keeping big names in (Suarez), being able to bring big names (e.g. Sanchez) etc and what we did in the last 6-7 years other than last year, we are behind the other big 4 and therefore 5th is more or less what they expected before the season started. Most pundits put us pre season finishing 4-5 depending who United bring, a lot of people here talked about 2-3.

Re Klopp, I would be very happy to see him in LFC but I think he will go to city and BR will stay. It may be different if we lose tomorrow - I think this will reinforce a sense of failure for this season and may make the owners try and get a deal with Klopp. If we get to the final - which I very much hope we do, no descisions will be made until the summer where it may be too late for him. If it is not him I am happy for BR to stay.

I'm a scouser and can tell you that yes most people are on rodgers side. I think it's just the mentality of certain fans and they just get behind the team. Personally I think Rodgers is a brilliant coach but I've given up on him due to his tactical naivety in big games. He never plays to counter the oppositions strengths and he never learns from his mistakes. Klopp would be a dream but realistically I'd have rafa

Thanks for the replies guys, I would also love us to at least try for klopp but unfortunately don't see it happening. I'm guessing whatever happens at man city will have the biggest impact on the managerial merry go round this summer. Like some of you say I am also quite divided on Rodgers but if he's here to stay then I will support him all the way. I do feel however that the likes of klopp or even good old rafa would bring us better results than sticking with brendan

tbh if we can't get some one like klopp then i'd just stick with br, he's made mistakes but he is a good manager just still a bit 'raw' he will get better in time.

I would rather us managed by Raheem Sterling's agent then by Rafa. He is the last person that can help us get back to the top 4.

I have also noticed that ed01 and possibly ed02 agree with many of us that Rodgers has failed us, and failed to live up to his own promises, along with his foot in mouth syndrome. But like I said in the original post most of the media and other pundits seem perfectly happy with Rodgers and his work, I know it's "done to death" but do any of you eds see Fsg swinging the axe and firing brendan

5th won't be deemed good enough by these owners, they're utterly ruthless at Red Sox!

Well said, Essex! BR has failed and with no CL and no trophy, he is a goner.

hi guys i'm a long time reader, not posted for a long while but couldn't take much more and thought i'd join the debate. i was a big fan of brendan and last season we played some of the best football I've seen since the rafa days of beating madrid and fernando scoring for fun, but i am slowly loosing faith as many of you already have. i have been utterly baffled with some of the team selections and tactics this year and really can't work out what's changed so quickly, is it the loss of suarez, sturridge being made of glass, genuine bad luck or maybe its all glen johnsons fault i'm really not sure. the only thing making me wonder about keeping rodgers is who we could genuinly replace him with that could do much better. i think klopp will have his pick of jobs e.g barca and don't think he would abandon dortmund in the situation they are in unless sacked, is de boer really that proven or just another brendan with better support from his other staff at ajax and in a weaker league, pulis?? really?? seen him today linked with replacing big sammi at brighton and that seems about right for him, don't see many prem clubs rushing to give him a job. so my question fellow reds is who can we turn to to rescue our precious club and turn things around, rafa? can't see fsg going there after the last time they looked to the past, i just don't see the answer do any of you.

also on a side note i see suarez is hardly pulling up trees in la liga, knew he wouldn't fit in with messi and co as think he needs to be the main man which there he is clearly not, "cheeky" loan bid maybe??
